How to get Red Element in ARK Survival Ascended Lost Colony DLC

Red Element is an interesting item available in ARK Survival Ascended if you own the Lost Colony DLC, but its true purpose is yet to be known.

While we remain unsure about how to use it exactly, you can obtain the resource and add it to your inventory. You can directly craft it by using the correct ingredients. This guide will help you understand what the Red Element is and how you can obtain it.

How to craft Red Element in ARK Survival Ascended Lost Colony DLC

To craft Red Element, you’ll need the Bloodforge. The Bloodforge itself is part of the Lost Colony DLC. It’s a crafting station that allows you to repair your gear with Blood irrespective of its wear and tear. You can also use it to create items like the Red Element. Here’s the recipe if you’re interested.

• 50 Blood Packs

To make Element, you/ll want to find lights/street lamps (can be found on bridges). You can get Element Dust by simply destroying these lights. You can then use the resources to craft Element, which is the first of the two resources.

Second, we are going to need a lot of Blood. For that, you’ll first have to build the Medical Stand. This item is used normally to heal your creatures, but you’ll need it to craft the Blood Packs. Attach the creature to the Medical Stand, and then activate the Take Blood tab.

While your creature will take damage, you’ll start generating Blood Packs. You’re going to need 50 Blood Packs for a single Red Element. You should keep a check on your creature’s health while you’re extracting Blood out of it. Once done, you can use the Medical Stand to heal your creature.

Once you have all the required resources, head to the Bloodforge in your base and use the extracted resources to create Red Element. You’ll get an Unstable Red Element, so wait for the Spoil Timer to go down. You’ll get the Red Element after completing the process.

You can also find Red Element as Outpost mission rewards, which will be required to recruit the Thralls on your side. However, this method takes a lot of time for you to collect a sufficient number of Blood Packs. Hence, crafting is the way to go as it’s much more practical.
