How to heal and revive cats in Mewgenics

Cats have nine lives, or that’s what they say, but in Mewgenics, that’s not the exact case.

As you take your cats out to fight, they will take damage from enemy attacks. While every kitto can withstand a certain bit of damage, they will eventually perish unless you heal them. Let’s first look at how you can heal your cats in Mewgenics.

How to heal cats in Mewgenics

Injuries can happen due to the outcome of a battle in Mewgenics. Once the health of a cat has completely depleted, they will incur injuries. Reviving them (more on that below) will remove the injuries, but they can occur once again if they lose all their health. Cats with low constitution value are much more susceptible to getting injured.

You cats can also get injured at your home. Rooms with low Comfort stat can be quite problematic, as they will force your cats to fight. Clashes can also happen if one of your cats is extremely aggressive, or they want to mate with another one’s partner. All such clashes will eventually lead to injuries.

In simple words, you cats will get injured. What’s important is how you can heal them. The Super Bandage item is an extremely useful item that allows you to heal your cat. It can be equipped in the trinkets section and has four uses. Using it recovers a random illness, and you can use it to heal different cats in your army. However, you can only use it in a battle.

Having the Cleric collar is immensely useful. This is the only healing class in Mewgenics, and abilities like Revive heal a cat by 50% HP and remove a random injury. This particular spell can be even better once it’s upgraded.

You cats can also recover from injury and heal themselves when resting at your home. However, it’s best not to rely on this method. I have seen it happen just twice in several hours. It’s not a reliable method; if it happens, consider yourself to be lucky.

When your cat’s HP is completely down to zero, they become incapacitated. When that happens, they get a random injury, and there will be a timer on top of them. If this timer runs out, you can’t revive your cat. The timer will drop by one every time the cat’s corpse gets hit.

There are two ways to revive your cats. One method works partially as it raises the corpse’s health. The Muertos Mask adds eight extra instances for a corpse to get hit, which is immensely useful. However, the following items all offer auto-revive if a cat goes down.

  • Smelling Salts
  • Hockey Mask
  • Frank Bolts
  • Neck Wrap
  • Ankh
  • Mummy (only from set bonus)

Certain abilities are also helpful when you’re trying to revive a fallen cat.

  • CPR (Collarless): Revives an adjacent body to +1 HP
  • Awaken (Cleric): Revive a body to +1 HP
  • Revive (Cleric): Revive a body to +50% HP and cure a random injury
  • Born Again (Cleric): Revives a body to +100% HP, gives All Stats Up, and then falls asleep
  • Breath of Life (Cleric): Heals and revives a downed unit

As it’s evident, the Cleric class has immensely potential when it comes to healing and revival. If your cat isn’t born with one of these abilities, they will have to be drafted during the course of a battle.
