The objective here is to get the rats hostile and to let them attack you. The best way to turn the rats hostile without killing them with the first attack is to head into the settings and change the difficulty to Master. Unequip your weapon and use your fists to punch each of the 4 rats until they become aggressive, and then immediately change the difficulty to Novice so that they deal as little damage as possible.

The objective is now simple, as players just need to sit in the chair or squeeze into a corner and let each of the 4 rats beat them up for as long as it takes to get to Light Armor 100 or Heavy Armor 100. This can be made even easier by either focusing on one skill by wearing a full set of the chosen armor type, or by using 3 pieces of Light Armor and 2 pieces of Heavy Armor, depending on what players have less skill in. It’s also worth noting that even if your armor breaks, the armor skill will still level up, but this is a good opportunity to level up the Armorer skill by using Repair Hammers.
