Same tabs, different names.

The history of Premium tabs in Path of Exile 2 is closed, as GGG has replaced the stashes with Merchant tabs.

While it might first appear to be confusing for beginners, the new stashes are like-for-like replacements. You can once again rely on microtransactions to get more tabs for your in-game grind. That said, you’re also guaranteed these new stashes if you owned Premium tabs in the older version of the game.

How to get Merchant tabs in Path of Exile 2?

There are two ways to get Merchant tabs in Path of Exile 2.

  • Buy them directly from the in-game store: This method uses the microtransaction features inside the game. You can purchase one for 40 points, which costs $4. If you’re getting a bundle of six, it’s going to cost you 200 points ($20).
  • Convert the Premium tabs using the website: If you purchased any Premium tabs directly using microtransactions, you can convert them to Merchant tabs.

How to convert Premium tabs to Merchant tabs in Path of Exile 2?

Remember that only Premium tabs purchased with real-life money before the third major update can be converted into Merchant tabs.

  • Go to the official website and ensure that your game is linked.
  • Once logged in, click on your name in the top-right part of the screen. Then, go to My Account.
  • Open Merchant’s Tab Upgrade.
  • You’ll find all eligible tabs under Current Tab Allocations.
  • Select Upgrade to a Merchant’s tab, and your Premium tabs will now become the Merchants tab.

If you had any items in your Premium tabs, don’t worry. They will neither be listed on the website nor be destroyed. Once you take them out of the tab, it will disappear, and you can then store them in the Merchant tabs.

Once you have completed the Hostile Takeover quest and unlocked Ange as a Merchant NPC, place any item that you want to sell in the tab. Select a price you want to sell it for using the drop-down menu. This will automatically list the items on the trading website. Once the sales are complete, you can retrieve the profits that were entitled to you.
