The Gorgofex arrives as the exclusive Wonder Weapon found in Reckoning, the last Black Ops 6 Zombies map before Black Ops 7 takes the stage. With the Reckoning map being the finale of Black Ops 6 Zombies, it’s no surprise that the Wonder Weapon featured would have some powerful upgrades, along with a way to tie up loose ends. Upgrading the Gorgofex in Reckoning has some dire consequences involving the fate of its characters, and players will have to pick who lives and who dies between Janus’ head of security, Blanchard, and the scientist gone mad, Panos. Below are both upgrade paths for Gorgofex in easy-to-follow steps:

How to Get the Gorgofex C (Save Blanchard/Kill Panos)
The video above is a full walkthrough of acquiring the Gorgofex C!
Gorgofex C is the variant that players can get if they decide to help Blanchard instead of betraying him, and listed below are the coherent steps that players will want to follow to ensure that they save Richtofen’s ally, and get themselves a neat new blue Gorgofex upgrade.
Step 1: Speak with Blanchard in the T1 Executive Suite
After acquiring the Gorgofex, head up to the top floor of the T1 tower into the T1 Executive Suite. When facing the north wall, players can find a closed metal door, and interacting with the closed metal door will see Blanchard appear behind it. Activating this mini-cutscene with Blanchard triggers the first step to helping him stop Panos and avenge those lost at Liberty Falls.
Step 2: Push the Red Button in the T1 Project Janus Reception
After speaking with Blanchard, head back to the spawn where in the T1 Project Janus Reception with the teleporter, there will be a red button that no longer has a case covering it. Interact with the button to trigger a Maintenance Klaus, who will begin to work on one of the terminals in the reception area. Players need to defend this Maintenance Klaus from zombies, and the Gorgofex is great for this due to its charged shot, as that will suspend zombies in the air with anti-gravity to delay them. Once the objective has been fulfilled, the elevator on the left of the room will be deactivated, leaving only the elevator on the right, which leads to the Mutant Research Labs.
Step 3: Free Panos by Gliding Down the Quantum Computing Core Elevator
With the elevator to the T1 Quantum Computing Core shut down, players will have to take the elevator from spawn up to T1 Mutant Research Lab, where the path on the right has a hole in the floor. Players can jump down this hole to parachute into T1 Quantum Computing Core, and from here, they can jump down the elevator shaft. Deploy your parachute in the elevator shaft and interact with the red buttons, which can be found on the walls inside the elevator on the path down. As soon as all buttons have been interacted with, players will re-activate the elevator, and they will be taken back to the Quantum Computing Core to interact with Panos, who is now an electric orb.
Step 4: Defeat Blue-Eyed Zombies to Free Panos and Get Gorgofex C
With access to the Quantum Computing Core now re-enabled, blue orbs will fly around the room and infect zombies, turning their eyes blue. Players just have to kill these zombies until the orbs stop transporting into other zombies, which could take a full round of killing in this room. Players will know that they have killed enough zombies as all of the blue orbs will manifest in the central console in the T1 Quantum Computing Core, leaving Panos as an apparition who repeats the same line of dialogue.
With Panos now spawned, interact with him to transfer his soul into the Gorgofex gun, thus killing him, helping Blanchard, and receiving the blue upgrade with the Gorgofex C. This model fires powerful lightning blasts, and it can now be Pack-a-Punched for further advantages.
How to Get Gorgofex N (Save Panos/Kill Blanchard)
The video above is a full walkthrough of acquiring the Gorgofex N!
Gorgofex N is considered the “evil” variant of Gorgofex, for players will be required to betray Blanchard and help the villainous Panos. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to get Gorgofex N, provided that players already have the base Gorgofex at the ready.
Step 1: Talk to Blanchard in the T1 Executive Suite
Head to the very top of the T1 tower to visit Blanchard, who can be interacted with by visiting the metallic door on the north wall in the T1 Executive Suite. Speaking to Blanchard is very important, as it’s the only way to trigger the next step.
Step 2: Acquire the Strauss Counter and the Life Drain Serum
After speaking with Blanchard, head back down the tower to reach the T1 Quantum Computing Core. Once inside, look to the central control terminal at the southeast side, where you will find the Strauss Counter that can be picked up, replacing your tactical grenade slot. With the Strauss Counter, head through to the T2 Android Assembly room and use the Strauss Counter to locate the the red zone, noted by “High” on the terminal screen in your hand. This should be behind a zombie barrier, opposite Double Tap Root Beer, to the left. Once located, fire a charged shot of the Gorgofex at the box on the floor, just below the locker that’s fallen over. This will spawn the Life Drain Serum that can be picked up.
Step 3: Acquire the Clean Hood, PC Fan, and Tubing
There are now 3 items that players need to collect, and each of them has specific spawns that can be found below:
- Clean Hood – Found at the north wall of the T1 Bioweapons Lab, the same room where you picked up the Cyst.
- PC Fan – Found inside the T2 Dark Entity Containment room where the Forsaken is located, to the left of the Arsenal on a collapsed server.
- Tubing – Found in the F1 Quantum Computing Lab area, behind a blue generator with white boxes in the same outside area as Speed Cola
Step 4: Survive Blanchard’s Lockdown and Get the Gorgofex N
With the items mentioned above, head to the T1 Executive Suite and interact with Blanchard’s door. This will see players craft the Essence Extractor, and upon interacting with it, players will have to survive for an entire 90 seconds with enemies focusing on destroying the Essence Extractor, so make sure you’re prepared for the lockdown. After surviving the lockdown, Blanchard’s life will be transferred into the machine, so pick up the vile and rush it back to the T1 Bioweapons Lab, as it slowly eats at your health. Place the vile on the same station where you picked up the Cyst in order to craft the upgraded Gorgofex, which fires acid rounds.
