As you advance through Cash Cleaner Simulator, you’ll learn the joys of dealing with bills covered in dirt, grime, and strange ink, without clear indicators of where some of these substances came from. You’ll also find counterfeit cash, which you’ll need to separate from the rest before completing your quests.

How to get a UV light in Cash Cleaner Simulator

Before separating regular cash from counterfeit in Cash Cleaner Simulator, you’ll need to purchase a UV lamp from the in-game Black Market. At first, your best option is to stick to a portable UV lamp for $750. Later on in your playthrough, you’ll unlock more effective options that are pricier, such as a stationary UV lamp.

After a brief delivery, you’ll receive your UV lamp, letting you pick up and activate it to spot fake bills. Although it’s best used at night with the lights off, it’ll work fine as long as you’re not in broad daylight or have all your lights on in the facility.

How to spot fake bills using the UV light in Cash Cleaner Simulator

Once you acquire your UV lamp, you’re ready to use it on your cash. Your goal is to look for various markings, from dotted lines to yellow stamps and red symbols. Each signals whether they’re legitimate or marked, with no markings revealing it’s counterfeit cash.

Regular bills

Your first and most common bill type is regular cash. Using the UV lamp near it will spot marks like blue dashed lines, yellow spots, and highlighted numbers. While not all of these markings are on every bill, your goal is to find at least one on any given bill. You can even spot these through dirt, but I would still recommend cleaning dirty money to make seeing these icons easier.

In short, if your bill changes in any way other than showing a red marking, you’ve found a regular bill you can package and ship out. Otherwise, we’ll need to dig deeper for the other two.

Counterfeit

Your second option is finding counterfeit cash. These show absolutely zero markings when you use UV light on them. If your bills look identical after flicking the lamp on and off, you have some counterfeit cash in front of you.

Don’t throw these away, though. Some missions ask you for only counterfeit or certain marked bill types. Keep these in a special spot somewhere away from the rest of your cash before proceeding with the rest of your playthrough.

Marked

Your last option is marked bills. These will show regular bill markings, with large red symbols defining them. These can come in different forms, from Xs to suspicious eyes on your money.

The types of symbols you encounter will determine whether you’re looking at a police or gang marking. For example, the image above shows Gang-marked bills, while ones with large Xs in the tutorial are police versions. Some missions will differentiate between the two, so keep marked bills separate from each other and unmarked variants.
