It’s been a while since the Helldivers went on the offense, right? Definitely since before the Battle for Super Earth. Many Helldivers 2 players are hoping that will change soon, as an entire offensive campaign (preferably on Cyberstan) would be the perfect palate cleanser following so many defenses.
Helldivers Ask for a Brand New Offensive Campaign
We know what you might say. Technically, yeah, the current Major Order is to liberate two planets, but Helldivers want more. Imagine a completely fresh storyline where the Helldivers get to actually push back and make some real progress on the enemy fronts.
One player, Silver1Shade, stated: “Enough with these defense MOs! It’s time to fight back. Give us an offense MO, Arrowhead!! We have been defending since the Battle of Super Earth. The bots and the bugs have taken advantage of this and have taken ground from us. It’s time to fight back. It’s time to drive them back to the way they were at the start of the galactic war, with only 1 or 2 sectors to their name”.
Posts like this one have become quite common over the last couple of days, especially coming from the botdivers. June 22 marks day 500 of the Second Galactic War, and players would love to mark the occasion with something big and special.
Hm, botdivers, offensive campaign, and a big event? You know what that means! Lots of players suggested one particular campaign. One player, Electronic-Flower921, exclaimed: “I want the ultimate offensive, the attack on Cyberstan”.
What’s So Special About Cyberstan?
As you probably know, so many Helldivers 2 players have dreamed about a Cyberstan offensive campaign ever since the Automatons took over this planet. The home planet of the Cyborgs and now the bots’ main base has been heavily guarded, and it’s almost impossible to approach it currently.
However, that has never stopped the Helldivers from wanting to get to it. Time after time, literally any time there’s been any bigger campaign on the bot front, the players have discussed trying to go for Cyberstan. However, something always goes wrong, and the players have to redirect their attention. While they’re putting out fires on other fronts, any progress they made toward Cyberstan goes to waste.
Still, the hope remains! Some leaks even revealed a planet named New Cyberstan, so never stop dreaming, dear Helldiver! In the meantime, let’s try to finish the current MO and fry some Squids. For Liberty and Super Earth.
