Helldivers are so close to ruining the Squids’ plan! As you know, Super Earth has already lost several planets to the wormhole, and it’s time to stop it finally. Helldivers 2 players have been working on stopping the Meridian Singularity for a long while, and after obliterating the Squids in the previous Major Order, they have a chance to stop them once and for all. This one will be a tough one, but we have full trust in Helldivers to get it done.
Completing the Major Order Should Stop the Meridian Singularity
The Major Order arrived on April 26, just in time for the weekend. Alongside, as always, a briefing arrived. This briefing explained what exactly was going on what the Helldivers had to do to complete the Major Order.
The briefing called this Major Order “one last valorous effort” to stop the Meridian Singularity. The Repulsive Gravity Field Generator on Pilen V is nearly done. Once the construction is finished, it will generate vast repulsive gravitational waves that should completely stop the Singularity.
Of course, the Squids will try to prevent this from happening. So, Helldivers should expect various attacks on vital planets. They must fend the Squids off at all costs.
Also, the scientist will need a lot of fuel to start the Generator, so Helldivers will have to collect it. The Predator Strain is wreaking chaos on Turing, giving the players a perfect chance to get all the E-710 needed.
In short, to successfully fend off the Illuminate, Helldivers will have to complete an Operation against them on Medium or higher 625k times. Furthermore, Helldivers will have to liberate Turing. At the time of writing this article, they have around three days and 6 hours left. They are at around 22% of the Squids’ goal, and Turing is only at around 0,6%. We have a long weekend ahead of us!
Helldivers Hope This Major Order Will Lead to an Update
The Meridian Singularity storyline might finish after this Major Order, and the Helldivers 2 community hopes that means an update is imminent. There have been some leaks and proof, but the devs have been tight-lipped. On the other hand, the community is getting quite frustrated, and the only thing that keeps the players going is the fact that the update might be close.
Hour_Equivalent_2565 noted: “Could it be – Major Order, major update? With this Major Order potentially signaling the end of a key narrative arc, the fact that the MO ends on a patch day, and the time coming down to when we’d expect a major update and warbond, it begs the question…could it be?”.
Truth be told, with all the teasing and waiting, if the Helldivers don’t get an update soon, the devs are probably looking at another review bomb. Hopefully, it won’t have to come to that.
