Believe it or not – it’s happening! After finally managing to complete an Illuminate Major Order and stop the Meridian Singularity, another problem arose. Just as the Helldivers 2 community suspected, the Automatons are attempting to get to Malevelon Creek, and the players have to stop them for the current Major Order.
Players Have to Protect Malevelon Creek!
As you probably know, the Creek was quite an important event in the Helldivers 2 lore. It is one of the first planets that the bots occupied when they joined the Second Galactic War. After many, many sacrifices, it was liberated, and April 3, 2024, was named the Creek Memorial Day. Since then, the bots haven’t made any bigger attempts to return to this planet. Well, until now.
The High Command issued the latest Major Order on March 30. As always, a briefing arrived with it. It explained that the Incineration Corps was leading multiple attacks, and the bots were trying to spread on multiple planets.
The intel suggests that the bots are headed to Malevelon Creek. The briefing notes: “This hallowed ground is the resting place of many, many brave ‘Creekers’ whose ultimate sacrifices freed the planet from the Automatons early in the War. Now, the enemy seeks to defile their graves – obviously having calculated that seizing the planet on the upcoming Malevelon Creek Memorial Day would result in the greatest net desecration”.
Of course, Super Earth can not allow this to happen! So, Helldivers have to defend the Creek by any means necessary, and hold it when the MO expires. They have five days and two hours left to do so.
We have to admit, we were amazed by the effort the community had put into this MO. It’s been almost 24 hours since the MO, and the players have already managed to pull a gambit (Ingmar). At the time of writing this article, Malvelon Creek is safe and sound, surrounded by planets under the control of Super Earth.
The Current Major Order Unites the Helldivers 2 Community
If there was ever anything to unite all Helldivers 2 players and all the subfactions of this amazing community, it’s the Malevelon Creek Major Order. The Creek has been of huge importance to this game, as its invasion in 2024 was the basis for the creation of the community. So, even though the Creek is at risk, it’s amazing to see that the players are once again working together.
Veterans, returning players, and new players are getting ready for the inevitable – another defense of the planet. Of course, you’ll recognize the veterans easily, as they’ll be sporting the Malevelon Creek cape. And, who knows, maybe the newbies will get capes as well.
The players are calling their fellow divers to join them on the bot front all over social media. It’s going to be a long week, and we are so ready for it! We’ll be diving on Mort for the time being. Will you join us? For Liberty and Super Earth.
