All the rumors and hints were correct! The developers have just confirmed that Season 2 of Marvel Rivals will be centred around the Hellfire Gala. The devs shared a trailer, introducing Emma Frost and Ultron, as well as revealing all the important details.
Season 2 Trailer, Release Date, and Details
On April 3, James, the Community Manager, shared the exciting news on the official Discord channel. The CM noted: “Marvel Rivals Season 2: Hellfire Gala – Starts on April 11 UTC”.
According to this announcement, Emma Frost herself has invited the Heroes to Krakoa. It briefly explains that once a year, Krakoa opens its gates and welcomes friends and rivals to work together on a brighter future. Krakoa is stuck in the year 2099, and its ecosystem is suffering from chronal energy.
The CM added: “Can a night of glittering festivities bring unity over fine dining and dazzling conversation? Who among the attendees possesses ulterior motives or solely seeks to party? And who is the uninvited guest? Dress your best, step through the gates, and join us for an unforgettable evening of elegance, intrigue, and power. The Hellfire Gala begins April 11th UTC- don’t be fashionably late”.
Of course, the devs also shared the trailer for Season 2. It features Emma Frost, welcoming the guests to Krakoa, only to be interrupted by Ultron. So, it seems the next Season will be quite something!
Marvel Rivals Players Can’t Wait for the Hellfire Gala
The Marvel Rivals community members are extremely excited that they’d be attending the Hellfire Gala in Season 2. The trailer looks amazing, and April 11 can’t come soon enough.
One player, gioanysgonzalez3396, noted: “Whoever is designing these characters must get a raise, cause not only does Emma look fine as hell, but Ultron looks intimidating and BADA**!!! Also can we talk about the fact they managed to make Psylocke and Magik look even more bada** in their X-Men outfit”.
Another player, apersonwhomayormaynotexist9868, added: “I cannot express how excited I am that it [the Hellfire Gala] has broken out of the comic sphere and is now in more general and popular pop culture spheres. And the attention to detail with the comic references – the color scheme, the arbor magna, the design of the HFG stage, even the invitations are all ripped straight from the pages of Marauders 22”.
