Marvel Rivals Queen’s Codex Event Gives Players Unique New Skin

Marvel Rivals Queen’s Codex Event Gives Players Unique New Skin

The Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 update launching on August 8 will include the Queen’s Codex event, giving players a chance to earn a skin for The Thing for free. Marvel Rivals has been providing fans with multiple opportunities to earn costumes for free throughout the seasons thanks to Twitch drops and in-game events. The Queen’s Codex event is no exception, and players are already looking forward to adding to their collections.

Costume additions have been a staple in Marvel Rivals updates. The Marvel Rivals Season 3 battle pass gives players a chance to earn symbiote skins, along with some sharp gold and white suits and Phoenix-themed robes. Many fans have been particularly fond of the symbiote line, especially the Jeff the Land Shark and Squirrel Girl options.

Marvel Rivals Queen’s Codex Event Skins

Marvel Rivals developer NetEase announced that The Queen’s Codex event will begin on August 8 and will include multiple tiers of rewards. As players advance through the event, they can earn the symbiote costume for The Thing for free; no purchase required.

Available Free

  • The Thing – Symbiote Thing

Available with Premium Codex Purchase

  • Black Widow – Phoenix
  • Hela – Queen of Black

Two other skins are featured in The Queen’s Codex event, but the Premium Codex pass will be required. Players who purchase the pass can have access to skins for Black Widow and Hela, with the Hela – Queen in Black costume being the final reward. The Premium Codex will also include a new dynamic spray for players to show off in-game. Players who purchase the premium pass unlock it permanently, giving them a chance to earn the rewards at their own pace. Marvel Rivals recently fixed a Hela glitch in the July 31 patch, so a premium skin could be the ultimate reward for Hela players for their patience.

Marvel Rivals Summer Special event pass 5

The Thing has received other costume updates in Marvel Rivals Season 3. Players who purchase the premium pass for the Marvel Rivals Summer Special event can unlock Sunshine Thing, which features The Thing in a black swimsuit and a Hawaiian lei. The Summer Special event will run through August 15, but like The Queen’s Codex event, players can unlock the event permanently with purchase.

August 8 is already shaping up to be an exciting day for Marvel Rivals with the release of the Season 3.5 update, which includes the anticipated release of Blade to Marvel Rivals, team-up adjustments, a new map called Throne of Knull, and a new game mode called Resource Rumble. This mode will initially be found in Quick Match on August 22 to allow players to try it out and give their feedback to the developers before it rolls out to competitive play.
