Players received quite a treat on March 31! As you probably know, the devs recently shared a roadmap for the near future and shared some details about the first free update coming on April 4. Well, the Director of Monster Hunter Wilds, Yuya Tokuda, decided to treat the players with some more information about the future plans, to celebrate 10 million copies of the game sold.
The Monster Hunter Wilds Director Shares Details About the Upcoming Update
Yuya Tokuda wrote a letter to all the MH Wilds fans. Tokuda thanked the players for their comments and feedback, which helped the developers to make plans for future updates. Starting off, Tokuda shared the roadmap that the players had already seen.
He confirmed that the update was planned for April 4 and that it would feature many tweaks, Mizutsune, and the Grand Hub. Also, the devs are already planning another update at the end of May and a bigger update during the summer.

The Director shared some more details about the Monsters in the first Free Title Update. He noted: “In the first title update, Mizutsune will be unlocked at HR 21 or higher, and at HR 41 or higher, Tempered Mizutsune (★8) will also be available to hunt in the Environmental Overview”.
In addition, a High-Rank version of Zoh Shia will be available, as well as Arch-Tempered versions of some Monsters. During a limited-time event quest, players will get to face the Arch-Tempered Rey Dau.

The End of May Update
As you probably know by now, there will be another update at the end of May. Yes, the one that will bring the first collab to MH Wilds. Well, this update will also feature some Tempered Monsters (★8) Gore Magala and the apex predators of each locale: Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, and Jin Dahaad.
Tokuda stated: “Each of these monsters have had various behind-the-scenes adjustments to make them more resilient, such as increased health, resistance to wounding, and tweaks to multiplayer scaling”. The Director also confirmed that future updates would bring even more challenging monsters to Monster Hunter Wilds.

Future Balance Changes and Additional Features
Obviously, there is a lot more to a good update than some new content. Starting with balancing, Tokuda noted that the devs were continuously working on balance changes, and that these changes would be applied gradually. He disclosed that the team was considering upward adjustments for the Hammer. Of course, some OP weapons will have to be adjusted downward, but that is all a part of a never-ending process.

The same applies to QoL changes. Tokuda noted: “We will continue to make quality of life improvements to the game in all areas, not just the ones listed below, for points that players are finding inconvenient. Like the other changes, these will be implemented gradually in the forthcoming updates”.
The developers will also continuously work on improving game stability, as well as the game cycle balance adjustments. As for additional features, you can expect the devs to gradually add some very cool features, such as list where you can see a preview of each endemic life and layered weapons.
Yuya Tokuda underlined that the developers would continue working hard on the game, and a lot more was to come. So, don’t worry about a thing, the future seems quite bright. Enjoy the game and happy hunting.
