Monster Hunter Wilds Is on Sale, Just in Time for the Second Free Title Update

If you were thinking of picking out some games for the summer, this might be a good opportunity! For the first time since it was launched, Monster Hunter Wilds is on sale. The devs perfectly timed the discount to overlap with the upcoming Second Free Title Update. The game is on sale on both PlayStation (until July 2) and Steam (ends on June 26). So, what are the offers, and how can you claim them?

What Is Monster Hunter Wilds?

MH Wilds is the latest game in the Monster Hunter franchise. It’s an open-world ARPG developed and published by Capcom. It was released on February 28, 2025. This game can be played solo or online with other players.

You take the role of a hunter and explore the Forbidden Lands in search of various Monsters. You can also relax and enjoy the Grand Hub and the company of your very own Palico! Every week, you’ll get some new Event Quests to keep you on your toes!

Even though the demand for MH Wilds was huge at the very beginning, the players have left plenty of Overwhelmingly Negative reviews lately. However, with the Second Free Title Update coming very soon, the devs might surprise the players with some long-awaited fixes.

PlayStation Sale

The devs announced the PlayStation sale on the official Monster Hunter X profile. The announcement read: “Monster Hunter Wilds has just started its first sale on the PlayStation Store! With Free Title Update 2 arriving at the end of June, a big discount awaits you in the Forbidden Lands! Offer ends July 2, 11:59pm BST / July 2, 11:59pm PDT, per your region”.

Now, surprisingly enough, the sale ranges from 20-30% depending on your region. So, for example, if you’re buying the game in Europe or in Australia, you’ll get 30% off the price. However, if you’re buying the game in the US or, for example, Japan, you’ll only get 20% off.

Steam Sale

Yup, there’s also an active Monster Hunter Wilds Steam sale! However, it might be over by the time you stumble upon this article. At the time of writing, a bit more than 8 hours are left. So, hopefully, you’ll get there in time!
