In a recent post on Reddit, AdviseRequired stated that they missed the hub Astera from Monster Hunter: World. Several people agreed, saying that the music from the hub brought them right back to the early days of playing the title. Some fans felt that AdviseRequired may be looking back on the location fondly due to nostalgia, as numerous gamers disliked the vertical and spread-out nature of the major city, which they also claimed felt empty most of the time. However, many players have also expressed their desire to see captured monsters in the base camps of Monster Hunter Wilds, something that was present in Astera. Some people pointed out that AdviseRequired was likely missing the utility of the hub’s features more than the location itself.
Monster Hunter Wilds Fans Miss the Utility of Astera
Some people believe that Monster Hunter Wilds‘ Title 1 update may address some of the features AdviseRequired is missing, as it is said to include a multiplayer hub where people can come together. While nothing is confirmed, many gamers seem to be hoping Capcom will also add the ability to create a player home where they can display trophies and the endemic life they’ve managed to capture. This was also a perk of Astera that a large portion of the community would like to see make a return.
While some major features from Monster Hunter: World may not be in the newest entry yet, there’s always time for them to be added later. It’s not uncommon for features and monsters to make their way from one game to the next. Players recently noticed a connection between Fatalis and Zoh Shia in Monster Hunter Wilds, with a large portion of the community suggesting that Zoh Shia may be a guardian variant of the famous elder dragon. Fatalis’ roots go all the way back to the very first Monster Hunter, which has made it a staple throughout the lifetime of the franchise. Despite a few perceived shortcomings, many fans feel optimistic about the future of Monster Hunter Wilds.
