New Diablo 4 Book Lets You Make Potions IRL

Blizzard recently released a new Diablo cookbook called Diablo: Drinks, Potions & Elixirs: Cocktails and Provisions from Sanctuary. With over 60 drink recipes, in-universe lore, and charming translations of real-life ingredients to their Sanctuary equivalents, this Diablo 4 book is the perfect addition to any aspiring alchemist’s collection.

It is no exaggeration to say that the world of Sanctuary is dangerous. As would-be heroes battle the forces of Hell, there are few things as iconic and important during their adventures in Diablo 4 as the humble healing potion.

Now, Blizzard has released a cookbook that can help players follow in the footsteps of Diablo 4‘s alchemists and brew potions of their own in real life. Diablo: Drinks, Potions & Elixirs: Cocktails and Provisions from Sanctuary is a new book written by Cassandra Reeder and Ryan Quinn that was released on November 11. This 168-page tome contains over 60 different drink recipes rendered in full-color photography, complete with new in-universe lore to enhance the cocktail experience within.

Reeder is a famous author and culinarian known for her blog, The Geeky Chef, and several other cookbooks, including the official Mass Effect cocktail book. Likewise, Quinn is known for his contributions to Shadows of Sanctuary: A Diablo Short Story Collection and the Happily Ever After Cookbook.

The adventure that plays across Diablo: Drinks, Potions & Elixirs: Cocktails and Provisions from Sanctuary is narrated by an alchemist from Tarsarak as they journey across Sanctuary to learn about alchemy from the various cultures and creatures they find. Many of the drinks are inspired by monsters, classes, and abilities from the universe, such as the Diablo 4 Druid’s Poison Creeper, The Whirlwind, Shadow Imbuement, and the Abomination. What’s more, the book translates familiar ingredients and potions like gallowvine and biteberries into their real-life equivalents, enriching the world of Diablo 4 in the process.

Diablo: Drinks, Potions & Elixirs: Cocktails and Provisions from Sanctuary can be purchased as an ebook for $11, or in hardcover for $28. Fans can pick up this product from Amazon and most book stores, including Barnes & Noble.

Gamers who want to have an even deeper Diablo-themed culinary experience might consider pairing this new cocktail book with Diablo: The Official Cookbook: Recipes and Tales from the Inns of Sanctuary. This cookbook was released two years ago, not long after Diablo 4 itself, and contains more than 60 recipes inspired by various regions of Sanctuary, including iconic Diablo 4 locations like Scosglen, Tristram, Khanduras, and Mount Arreat.
