New LEGO leak details first-ever Ryan Gosling minifig and more

A new licensed LEGO set based on Project Hail Mary is currently in the works, according to a credible leaker. The same source also shared multiple other details about the purported kit, which is expected to feature the first-ever LEGO minifigure of Ryan Gosling.

Scheduled for a March 2026 release, Project Hail Mary is a Ryan Gosling-starring film adaptation of an eponymous 2021 book written by The Martian author, Andy Weir. It is a hard science fiction story about a former molecular biologist, Dr. Ryland Grace, who is enlisted to help save humanity after scientists discover that the Sun is dimming at an accelerated rate, one that would trigger a planet-wide ice age within 30 years. Similar dimming is observed in nearby stars, with one key exception. Grace is sent on a one-way mission that begins with him in a chemically induced coma and is intended to end with investigating the anomalous star and transmitting any potentially world-saving findings back to Earth via unmanned probes.

The latter character’s appearance in the first Project Hail Mary trailer sparked debate among fans over whether the promo revealed too much of the film’s plot back in June 2025.
