Nexon Wants to Add Multi-Hit Cores to The First Descendant and Asks for Your Thoughts on the Matter

Multi-Hit stats are the next in line to be added as Weapon Cores, but Nexon wants to take things a bit more carefully this time, and they have asked for The First Descendant community’s thoughts on that matter.

We can’t deny that Nexon has made some questionable decisions in the past that the community did not take very well. There was the infamous Ines nerf, which caused quite a ruckus, and the removal of Serena’s wings from some Skins. Now, something new is in the works, and this time, the devs chose to be more careful asking the players for their input.

Nexon Plans to Add Multi-Hit Cores to The First Descendant and Asks for the Players’ Thoughts on How Best to Do So

On May 12, Nexon revealed that they have some new plans for Weapon Cores. Multi-Hit Chance and Multi-Hit Damage will be added as new options to Weapon Cores and as a weapon stat (for the Weapon Readjustment option). As for the Cores, these are planned to be added to the Firepower Augmentation category.

However, they have doubts about it, as the Firepower Augmentation category is already very popular, especially since the coveted Firearm ATK Core can be found there. This may lead to a conflict of interest and players simply choosing to ignore Multi-Hit in favor of the Firearm ATK, which is generally a more useful bonus, making this whole idea go to waste.

Nexon revealed some of their ideas on how to circumvent this problem:

  • Separating a new type of core specifically for multi-hit stats from existing cores
  • Allowing existing weapons to use the new type of core in Free Slots
  • Adding a dedicated slot for the new type of core in future weapons released through upcoming updates

But they want to hear from you, the players. What kind of approach do you think is the best? This is still in the planning phase, and the devs would like to hear the community’s thoughts. You can share you ideas on:

  • Discord: Please leave your comments freely on our feedback channel update-sampler
  • X / YouTube Community: You can also leave your thoughts in the comment section of the posts on each channel

So, if you have some ideas on how bests to approach this, Nexon is open to suggestions.
