January 22 will be a big day in the history of No Rest for the Wicked, as we can finally enjoy the game in co-op.

Thanks to the latest major patch, we can share our quest progression with our buddies. This guide will quickly explain how co-op works in the game and how you can matchmake with your friends.

How to play co-op with your friend in No Rest for the Wicked

The first step is to add your friends on Steam if you haven’t yet completed that part. Not only will all of you need to own a copy of No Rest for the Wicked, but you must have downloaded the Together update.

  • Open and load the game.
  • Go to the Realms tab from the main menu.
  • To play co-op, you’ll need to create your own realm. Pick a server region of your choice (ideally, it should be close to your region to reduce lag).
  • Open your Steam friends section, and then invite your friends.
  • Once they accept your invite, all of you can play on the same realm.

No Rest for the Wicked co-op explained

When you create a realm for co-op, it will be a persistent world. In simple words, the host doesn’t need to be online for their friends to play. They can play and progress even when the host is offline.

  • Loot will be kept by those who manage to secure it before others.
  • Quest rewards will be shared equally.
  • You can trade freely with your friends, which will allow you to exchange different gear.
  • Existing characters can be added to the realm.

With co-op now completely available, there’s never been a better time to play with your buddies.
