Not Sure What Weapon in Monster Hunter Wilds Is Right For You? PlayStation Made A Quiz To Help You Out

Monster Hunter is the latest craze in the gaming community. It looks like players are really into hunting giant monsters, as about a million gamers are actively playing it. And who can blame them? A combination of superb visuals, detailed character customization, cute critters, great NPCs (with Gemma already becoming the fan-favorite), fearsome monsters, and over-the-top weapons? Sign me up! And, on the topic of weapons, some players are struggling with choosing the right one for them. Luckily, PlayStation has recently posted a quiz that you can take, and it will reveal what weapon is the right one for you in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Take This Quiz to See What Weapon Is Right For You in Monster Hunter Wilds

On March 8, PlayStation added a quiz to their Monster Hunter Worlds page to help you choose which weapon to main. It is very simple. Just go to their official MH: W page and scroll down until you get to the “How Will You Hunt” part. Right below it is the Monster Hunter Wilds Weapon quiz.

The quiz will ask you various questions (five of them in total), like “What style of attack do you prefer?” or “What’s your preferred approach when attacking from range?”. We here hoped for Sword and Shield but got Gunlance instead.

The weapons you can get as a result of this quiz are:

  • Great Sword
  • Long Sword
  • Sword and Shield
  • Dual Blades
  • Hammer
  • Hunting Horn
  • Lance
  • Gunlance
  • Switch Axe
  • Charge Blade
  • Insect Glave
  • Light Bowgun
  • Heavy Bowgun
  • Bow

Monster Hunter veterans probably have their own preferences, so this quiz is more for the newer players who are still struggling. Of course, you can always take this quiz just for the fun of it, and there is always the option to retake it.

Monster Hunter Wilds is really gearing up to be the best game of 2025, with Split Fiction giving it a run for its money.
