Oblivion Remastered Soars to the Top of the Previous Week’s Most Played Games on Steam Deck

Yup, it’s true! The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered dropped on April 22, after practically no announcement, and it took the world by storm. Obviously, Steam Deck users didn’t want to miss out on the fun, and Oblivion Remastered ended up in the first place on the list of the Top Played games from April 22 to April 28.

Top 10 Most Played Games on Steam Deck (April 22-28)

As you know, the top 10 most played games are usually the same, aside from the occasional new game that drops and wreaks chaos. Well, it happened last week!

You can still find the usuals on the list, Baldur’s Gate 3, Balatro, Stardew Valley, ELDEN RING, Brotato, etc. However, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is at the top. Also, Skyrim Special Edition is ranked 5 on this week’s list.

The Majority of Steam Deck Users Are Loving Oblivion Remastered Even With Its Flaws

Over the last week, we’ve seen Steam Deck users slowly make peace and accept Oblivion Remastered, and, since it’s at the top of the Most Played games list, the community obviously grew to love it. At first, everyone found it annoying that this game was yet another one that was Steam Deck Verified, but ran poorly. However, the community united and came up with suggestions for the best settings and mods.

Don’t get us wrong, just because it scored first place doesn’t mean that everyone is playing Oblivion Remastered. There are still plenty of users who won’t play the game until it looks and runs well. However, the majority of players are enjoying the game no matter what.

We have to admit, there is something extremely nostalgic about playing Oblivion at 30 FPS, with mild stuttering outdoors. And, even though it doesn’t run perfectly, it’s still so much fun. This could be one of the games that helps grown-ups find their way back to gaming.

So, if you are looking for that nostalgic feeling, and you still haven’t tried out The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, we suggest you do so. On the other hand, if you are looking for something a bit different, you have a couple of days left to get the April Humble Choice. Whatever you choose to play, enjoy.
