The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, formerly known as the Gomu Gomu no Mi, is one of the most powerful Devil Fruits in the world of One Piece. Wielded by Luffy, this Devil Fruit is the epitome of freedom and creative imagination, and it is so strong that it allowed Luffy to defeat the likes of Kaido in battle. While it goes without saying that the Nika fruit possesses tremendous capabilities, it is certainly not the strongest Devil Fruit that exists. One Piece has some legendary Devil Fruits that might come into play in the Final Saga of One Piece.
Imu’s Devil Fruit
- Type: Mythical Zoan (Implied)
Imu has an unnamed Devil Fruit that Oda first introduced in the Reverie arc of the story. When Sabo launched an offensive against the Five Elders, to protect themself from the flames, Imu transformed into a giant four-legged creature and easily consumed them. Later on in Elbaf, Imu took over Gunko’s body and sported giant wings as well as a pointy tail. Clearly, Imu has a Mythical Zoan fruit that is incredibly overpowered and can even utilize powers similar to magic.
While Luffy’s Nika powers are certainly impressive, Imu’s are on a completely different level at this point in the story. Given that it can grant immortality to others as well as turn an entire population into demonic slave allies, it is head and shoulders above the Nika fruit at this point. What’s more, the vast majority of its capabilities are still unseen, and Oda will surely focus greatly on them later down the line.
Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr
One of the newest Devil Fruits introduced in One Piece, the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhogg, is an incredibly powerful mythical Zoan-type ability. This Devil Fruit was once wielded by the God of War of Elbaf, and now it is being used by none other than Loki, the Accursed Prince. It allows Loki to transform into a massive black dragon so large that it engulfs entire countries and can destroy the entire world. The strength of the Nidhogg can overwhelm even someone as strong as Harald. What’s more, it can also utilize lightning powers, which can combust entire islands in the blink of an eye.
Luffy’s Nika power is more ridiculous than the Nidhogg, but in terms of destructive capabilities and overall strength output, it doesn’t even come close. Loki can destroy the world, such is his power, and it goes without saying that his fruit is better than Nika’s, at least for now.
Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu
The Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu was wielded by Kaido, and it is a powerful ability that allows him to transform into an eastern serpentine dragon. While Kaido lost his battle to Luffy, it doesn’t take away from the fact that, offensively, he has a much stronger Devil Fruit.
It must be remembered that when Kaido fought Luffy, he was carrying the entirety of Onigashima, and before he even fought the Straw Hat Captain, he had already fought against many others and was reaching his limit. In terms of physical attributes, Kaido’s Mythical Zoan offers far more than Luffy’s Nika fruit. Be it durability, resilience, or even physical strength, Kaido’s Devil Fruit is incredibly impressive. More than that, it also gives control over elements such as wind, lightning, and fire. Kaido’s strongest transformation sees him become a giant magma-like dragon that can melt entire islands with ease. Had Luffy not learned how to utilize the no-touch Ryuo, he would have lost to Kaido.
Yami Yami no Mi
The Yami Yami no Mi is quite easily the strongest Devil Fruit in One Piece simply because it has the power to cancel the abilities of any other Devil Fruit. No matter which Devil Fruit is up against it, they simply cannot win because this fruit is way too overpowered. Luffy’s Nika fruit is still a Devil Fruit regardless of how much freedom it grants him. When up against Blackbeard, it stands no chance because this ability can essentially prevent Luffy from even tapping into Gear 5.

What’s more, if it is actually awakened, then Blackbeard wouldn’t even need to make direct contact with Luffy to prevent him from utilizing the power of Gear 5, and that is what makes it even deadlier. When Blackbeard first showed this power, he clearly stated that it had made him the strongest, and he was not exaggerating even a bit. This ability is truly broken, and while it does have some trade-offs, such as not being able to tap into the intangible Logia state and taking more damage, it certainly is worth it.

Gura Gura no Mi
Previously wielded by Whitebeard and now by Blackbeard, the Gura Gura no Mi is the strongest Paramecia type of Devil Fruit that exists in the One Piece world. It is essentially a calamity in Devil Fruit form, as it allows the user to produce quakes from air, land, and even cause tsunamis. The Gura Gura no Mi is so strong that it can destroy the entire world, putting its potential comparable to an ancient weapon.
In terms of offensive capabilities, the Gura Gura no Mi is absolutely unstoppable. It can sink islands in the blink of an eye, and crush anyone within seconds. The Nika fruit is certainly more imaginative and creative, but in terms of firepower, the Gura Gura no Mi far surpasses it.
Magu Magu no Mi
The Magu Magu no Mi is also a tremendously overpowered Devil Fruit. It is said to boast the offensive output of the highest order, with Oda even comparing it directly to the Gura Gura no Mi in many ways. It allows the user to become magma itself, as well as produce it at will. Given that the user is magma, even making contact with them is incredibly dangerous.
Utilizing its powers, Akainu was able to turn half of Punk Hazard perpetually into a land engulfed in magma and fire, and that goes to show its tremendous destructive potential.
