One Piece has proven itself to be quite a successful manga, given its incredible run of over 28 years now. Over these years, the creator, Eiichiro Oda, has had quite a lot of time to introduce incredibly overpowered abilities that light up the world.
While there are all kinds of exciting powers and dangerous techniques that fans have seen, largely held by top tiers in One Piece, only a few can be considered to be capable of a one-shot.
Toy Contract
- User: Sugar
- Devil Fruit: Hobi Hobi no Mi
Sugar was a member of the Donquixote Pirates, and while she isn’t strong by any means, she does have quite a hax ability.
Sugar has the ability of the Hobi Hobi no Mi, or the toy fruit, and it gives her access to a powerful one-shot ability. Sugar is able to turn anyone she touches into a toy, rendering them not only powerless, but also making everyone else forget about their existence. If she signs a contract with them, they essentially become her slaves.
Kamusari
- User: Shanks and Roger
- Devil Fruit: None
Out of the last generation of Yonko, only one remains standing, and that person is none other than Shanks. Shanks has yet to get fully involved in the story, but his strength is undeniable.
His most powerful ability yet is none other than Kamusari, or Divine Departure. This ability was taken from Roger, the late Pirate King, which goes to show how special it is. Shanks used this ability to one-shot Eustass Kid in One Piece. This ability could easily take down most characters.
Kaen Hakke
- User: Kaido
- Devil Fruit: Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu
Kaido, the King of Beasts, showed one of the most insane displays of power in One Piece during the Wano arc. As a part of the Yonko, it isn’t a surprise to see that he possesses an ability able to one-shot most characters.
While Kaido technically has multiple, his strongest ability is none other than Kaen Hakke, also known as Flame Bagua. For this attack, Kaido lunges with an explosive bite in his fiery state. Only a character such as Luffy could survive an attack like this.
Bajrang Gun
- User: Monkey D. Luffy
- Devil Fruit: Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika
Luffy has his fair share of powerful abilities, but the most powerful of them is the attack known as Bajrang Gun.
Luffy used this on Kaido, and this attack was what sealed the deal for the King of Beasts. When performing this attack, Luffy’s fist becomes the size of Onigashima. An attack like this will take down pretty much anyone.
Soul Pocus
- User: Big Mom
- Devil Fruit: Soru Soru no Mi
Big Mom, one of the former Yonko, has one of the most interesting Devil Fruits in One Piece, the Soru Soru no Mi, or the Soul Soul fruit. This Devil Fruit is quite overpowered, and even offered her one of the scariest one-shot abilities.
Soul Pocus is an ability she can make use of at any moment, and it can instantly kill most enemies. For this ability to work, however, one must show fear towards her, even if it is slight. Basically, most characters who aren’t elite tier would instantly fall for this.
Mero Mero Mellow
- User: Boa Hancock
- Devil Fruit: Mero Mero no Mi
Boa Hancock’s Devil Fruit, the Mero Mero no Mi, is one of the most broken fruits in the series. Her craziest ability, at least so far, is the Mero Mero Mellow, and it allows her to fire off a beam that turns anyone even remotely attracted by her into stone. Given her beauty, this includes pretty much anyone in the series who isn’t Luffy, even a Yonko such as Blackbeard.
This isn’t Hancock’s only one-shot ability. Technically, pretty much all of Hancock’s attacks are one shots that can turn people to stone.
Domi Reversi

- Devil Fruit: Unknown
When speaking of overpowered abilities that can one-shot most enemies, one can’t forget about Domi Reversi. Domi Reversi is one of Imu’s abilities. Imu showcased this power after taking over Gunko’s body. It allows Imu to bind people to a contract with him. With this contract, Imu’s victims are turned into slave demons. This ability is so effective, it even works on top tiers as seen with Dorry and Brogy, both of which have a 1.8 billion berry bounty.
One Piece Chapter 1157 will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday.
