This post contains spoilers for One Piece.
With so many strong characters in the story, it is extremely difficult for an individual to stand out. Only those that are blessed with extremely potent abilities are truly capable of leaving their mark on the story. Kaido is one of the first names whenever there is a conversation about power. Kaido’s Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu was among the main reasons why he was so superior to most One Piece characters.
Kaido’s Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu Is An Overpowered Devil Fruit
- Kaido had the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu
- His Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit was superior to most
Kaido received his Devil Fruit from Big Mom, who stole it during the God Valley Incident. She managed to stop Ivankov from eating and took it back with herself before ultimately handing it over to Kaido. Upon consuming the Devil Fruit, Kaido gained its powers. He was able to transform into an Azure Dragon at will. With time, Kaido mastered the Devil Fruit and was able to use the hybrid form as well.
Aside from increasing his physical abilities by tenfold, the Devil Fruit also granted Kaido some insane powers, which included creating air slashes, twisters, and even a strong blast akin to a dragon’s breath. The air slashes used by Kaido were so potent that they could easily slice off a person’s limb. Kaido’s Boro Breath was also a devastating maneuver, which could blast the top of a mountain. While Kaido’s Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu was phenomenal, there are other Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruits that are better.
Luffy’s Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika Is Arguably The Strongest Devil Fruit In One Piece
The Hito Hito no Mi, Nodel: Nika Is The Most Powerful Devil Fruit
For ages, Oda made fans believe that Luffy’s Devil Fruit was just an ordinary Paramecia-type that turned his body rubbery. It wasn’t until the Wano Country arc that he revealed the true nature of the Devil Fruit. It was confirmed that the real name of the Devil Fruit wasn’t Gomu Gomu no Mi, but Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. It was a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allowed its user to transform into the ancient Sun God. The World Government wanted to claim the Devil Fruit, and it tried multiple times, but they all ended in failure. The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika holds a lot of historical significance, but its power is not a joke.
With its power, Luffy has conquered many strong opponents. The most recent victim of Luffy’s power was none other than Kaido. During the fight, Luffy increased the size of his fist so much that it dwarfed the island of Onigashima. Then, the pirate launched his fist towards Kaido, resulting in the latter’s defeat. What’s scary is that Luffy has yet to master Gear 5, yet he has beaten multiple elite-level fighters. Once he gets full hold over the power, then there will be no one left to challenge him.
Saint. Rimoshifu Killingham’s Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin Is Overpowered
Killingham’s Devil Fruit Is Also Stronger Than Kaido’s
In the Elbaf arc, Oda finally introduced the Holy Knights, who serve directly under Imu. All Holy Knights are armed with powerful Devil Fruits, but Killingham’s ability stands out. Killingham ate the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin, which is also a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit. It allows him to morph into a qilin. Like any Zoan-type Devil Fruit, this one also bolsters the user’s physical abilities.
However, the main highlights of the Devil Fruit are its power to put a person to sleep and turn their dreams into reality. He used the Devil Fruit to summon nightmarish entities to wreak havoc on Elbaf. Since nightmares reflect the deepest insecurities of a person, it is almost impossible for the individual to overcome them.
Even if the summoned dream monsters are beaten, Killingham can revive them and use them to attack again. It is important to remember that while Killingham’s Devil Fruit is superior to Kaido’s, it does not mean that the latter is weaker than the Holy Knight. Kaido was the strongest creature in the world for a reason, and even a Holy Knight stood no chance against the King of the Beasts.
