One Piece: Oda Might Have Already Revealed Mihawk’s Parents

This article contains spoilers for the One Piece manga.

The One Piece manga has given fans quite an intense arc in Elbaf. Not only did Oda bring in Imu as the main villain of this arc, but he even started one of the most epic flashbacks in One Piece history. While the flashback started with Harald, it has also focused on a couple of other characters.

One Piece: Oda Has Already Revealed How Rocks D. Xebec Was Defeated, And It Was Hidden In Plain Sight

Rocks D. Xebec is still a huge mystery. Oda has already revealed how he died in One Piece, however.

Rocks D. Xebec is one of them, but now, it has also shed some light on the Roger Pirates. The adventures of the Roger Pirates might have hinted at Mihawk’s true identity, and who his parents really were.

Mihawk Is The World’s Strongest Swordsman

Mihawk’s Background Remains a Huge Mystery

Mihawk is a legendary figure in One Piece. He was introduced very early in the series, back in Baratie. Since then, fans have been patiently waiting for his long-awaited rematch with Roronoa Zoro.

The battle has yet to happen and will probably take a few more years to unfold. But even aside from that, Mihawk has been quite an interesting character, even though little is known about him.

Fans know pretty much nothing about Mihawk’s past other than the fact that the Navy did him a disservice at some point. Where he came from and what he did is a total mystery. The only other thing fans really know about him is that he used to spar with Red Haired Shanks.

Now, currently in the One Piece story, he is a part of the Cross Guild as one of their main members. His role is only going to grow in the story as the Final Saga unfolds. Interestingly, One Piece’s most recent chapter, One Piece 1156, might have a hint at who his parents are.

Mihawk’s Parents Could Have Been Revealed by Oda

Many Believe Mihawk is the Son of Rayleigh and Shakky

The most recent One Piece chapter just put the spotlight on the Roger Pirates and the Kuja Pirates. These two crews actually traded blows once. And since then, some romances developed.

Gol D. Roger, who was still not a great pirate at this time, actually liked Shakky, who was back then the Kuja’s number 2, behind Gloriosa. However, Shakky did not reciprocate Roger’s feelings. She instead had eyes for Rayleigh.

Fans know that she and Rayleigh are very close, and most definitely a couple in the current story. And with that, it has set the basis for a very popular theory that they’re Mihawk’s parents.

Both Shanks and Roger are talented sword users. Oda reveals what fighting style they use in One Piece.

With the most recent chapter especially, the time frames work. Mihawk is 43, and those two met some time before that.

Many fans have also pointed out physical resemblances between Rayleigh, Shakky, and Mihawk.

For now, this is just a theory, and there isn’t enough proof to say that Mihawk is Shakky and Rayleigh’s son, but the idea is exciting, to say the least.
