One Piece fans are very well aware of the fact that Oda has established an incredibly powerful duo in Zoro and Sanji. In all of One Piece, there isn’t a duo as iconic as that of Zoro and Sanji, and by the end of One Piece, they might also be skint the strongest duos in the story. While it goes without saying that the duo of Zoro and Sanji is iconic, they certainly aren’t the strongest.
Together, they should be strong enough to topple even a Yonko, but there have existed stronger duos in One Piece, especially ones that were created in an unlikely manner. With Oda now turning his focus to the God Valley Incident, fans have been introduced to a legendary duo here, and it’s that of Garp and Roger. It goes without saying that Garp and Roger accomplished tremendous things as a duo, and their biggest feat is to be able to split the Rocks Pirates apart. Undoubtedly, they are a duo stronger than the Wings of the Pirate King.

One Piece is currently focusing on the events of the God Valley Incident in the manga, and there, Oda will finally give the fans a look at the duo of Roger and Garp. As fans know already, the God Valley Incident is where the World Government conducted the Native Hunting Games and it is where the kidnapping of Shakky led the Roger Pirates to invade.

Rocks’s family being among the slaves meant that he led his crew to the fateful island of God Valley as well. The God Valley Incident is very chaotic, and while all the details aren’t clear yet, one thing that Oda has established already is that Roger and Garp joined forces on this island. Together, they split apart the legendary Rocks Pirates.
Based on what fans have seen so far, Roger went and fought Rocks in God Valley, while Garp was there to fight Roger. Eventually, one thing led to another and Roger and Garp teamed up against Rocks. It is widely reported that Garp killed Rocks for the sake of World Government propaganda. However, the reality is that nobody knows who killed Rocks. It is highly likely that their battle ended with Imu’s intervention.

They Can Match Roger and Garp
While Roger and Garp formed a stronger duo, they certainly aren’t the best duo. Their alliance was only a temporary one and something that didn’t last beyond God Valley. They had deep respect for each other, but at the end of the day, they were still enemies. Zoro and Sanji are comrades and they care for each other enough to shield their backs. They will always be the better duo, and come the end of One Piece, they might even form the stronger duo, given that they absolutely have to surpass Rayleigh and Gaban, which puts them relative to Pirate King Roger and thus in the same league as the duo of Roger and Garp.
In all of One Piece, there is no duo as iconic as the Wings of the Pirate King, and Oda will definitely give them great moments in the future, both in Elbaf and in the Great War to come. All fans need to do is sit back and wait patiently for all these events to unfold.
