One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 Confirmed

One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 Confirmed

One-Punch Man Season 3 has wrapped up with its 12th episode airing on December 28, and the anime is not stopping there. A teaser trailer and new visual released alongside the finale confirm that Season 3 will continue with a second part, which is set to air in Japan in 2027.

The teaser visual has already caught fans’ attention, as it is very similar to the Season 3 visual, just flipped. The similarity was quickly pointed out across social media.

Season 3 Part 2 is expected to move deeper into manga material by One and Yusuke Murata featuring large-scale battles involving characters like Psykos, Orochi, and Evil Natural Water, whose fights are known for their dense detail on the page. Some fans have expressed concern about the workload this could place on the production team. “No doubt it’ll increase the burden on the staff,” one user wrote on X.

There is also growing anticipation around the return of popular heroes such as Drive Knight and Superalloy Darkshine. Fans are hoping the next part benefits from a longer production window and stronger animation resources. Several comments have urged the studio to take its time and avoid rushing the release.

Season 3 faced heavy criticism during its run. Early previews raised eyebrows for their lack of action, and newcomer director Shinpei Nagai later deleted his X account, citing harassment from fans. The backlash peaked with one episode becoming the lowest-rated anime episode on IMDb, leading to industry voices to warn about the impact of sustained online abuse on animation staff.

One-Punch Man began as a webcomic centred on Saitama, a hero so strong that every fight ends in a single punch. The manga adaptation illustrated by Yusuke Murata turned it into a global hit, followed by a highly praised first anime season from Madhouse. Later seasons shifted studios and direction, leading to mixed reactions for changes in visuals and pacing, with Season 3 facing the sharpest scrutiny yet.

One-Punch Man Season 3 is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, Muse India, and Netflix.
