Phasmophobia 5th anniversary celebration event guide

It’s been five years since Phasmophobia first launched in an early access state, and the devs have a special event planned to mark the occasion. The fifth anniversary celebration event isn’t a massive one, but it does have a few special festivities you don’t want to miss.

Unlike most other events, there’s no event board breakdown for this one, so it can be pretty tricky to figure out what this one includes. To ensure you don’t miss out on anything featured in it, here’s a full guide for everything included in Phasmophobia’s fifth anniversary event.

All Phasmophobia 5 year anniversary event features

The five-year anniversary event for Phasmophobia features some fun environment changes, useful buffs, and some special rewards. It’s not a massive event like seasonal ones, but there’s still quite a bit to enjoy, so here’s a full breakdown of everything it includes.

• Decorated lobby – The ghost hunting lobby has received a colorful, festive makeover to commemorate the occasion. There’s a confetti cake, eerie balloons in the shape of the number five, confetti poppers you can pick up and use, disco lights dancing around the room, confetti on the ground, colorful banners, and balloons you can interact with everywhere.
• Double XP and money – Completing contracts earns double the XP and cash for the entire event. At the end of each round, you’ll see a “5th Anniversary – x2” bonus applied to your overall earnings, making this event the perfect time to work on leveling up.
• Anniversary prize – Logging in at any point during the event unlocks the free Veteran ID Card and Badge as a reward. You can claim this item from the game mode select screen
• New Twitch Drops – A special new Phasmophobia Twitch Drop is available for the duration of the event. Watch two hours in the Phasmophobia category on Twitch to claim a special animated version of the Veteran ID Card and Badge.
• Announcements – In a blog post, the devs teased that “a few exciting announcements” are scheduled to be revealed throughout the week as the event progresses. We don’t know what these might be, but they could perhaps unveil the release date for one of the future big updates, tease some more Phasmophobia movie details, release some new merch, or do something else entirely.

It’s possible that there might be a bit more to this event, as the devs have teased that they didn’t want to spoil everything in the official celebrating five years of Phasmophobia blog post. So far, though, we haven’t come across any other features. We’ll keep ghost hunting just in case, and report back here if we uncover anything new.

How long is Phasmophobia’s 5th anniversary event?

The anniversary event is available to complete from Sept. 15 to 22. It’s a fairly short one, and you’ve only got exactly one week to get it done, so diving in early on is crucial if you want to experience everything it has to offer.

There’s plenty more in store for the ghost hunting game before the year ends. According to the official Phasmophobia late 2025 roadmap, we’ve still got the launch of Nell’s Diner, the player character overhaul update, and some festive Halloween and Christmas events to look forward to. In 2026, there’s even more spooky fun planned, like Horror 2.0, so things won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
