In Stoic Studio’s Towerborne, you can play as one of four classes: Sentinel, Pyroclast, Rockbreaker, and Shadowstriker. Initially, you’re required to choose one and progress with it to unlock its related skills and give enemies a tough time on the battlefield.

How to Level Up Your Class in Towerborne
To level up a class in Towerborne, you first need to equip it and then do missions and tasks that grant experience points (XP). This happens naturally as you play through the story and expand the map. That said, you can also complete side quests, such as bounties and Umbra Shrine quests, to reach your level milestones faster.

There are also class-related bounties available on the Bounty Board that reward a significant amount of class XP and can noticeably boost your level. These are definitely worth completing once you teleport to Belfry.

How to Change Your Class in Towerborne
To change your class in Towerborne, follow these steps:
- First, go to the menu. Just click the ESC button, and you’ll automatically land in the Loadout subsection. Since you can’t swap classes during combat, you’ll need to do this while in the Belfry or on the World Map.
- Then, hop into the “Class” segment… It’s next to “Loadout”, before the “Skills” and “Expressions” categories.
- Once there, just pick any class you want to equip and hit the Space key to make it active.
That’s pretty much it. You can now jump into missions and continue playing with your new class. When you switch classes, your previous class’s progress is paused, not lost, so you can switch back anytime and pick up leveling right where you left off.
If you’ve unlocked multiple class abilities but aren’t sure how to use them, you can always visit the Training Hall before actual fights to build your strategy.
This place is run by Courage, the cute fighter rabbit critter you can find on the east side of the Belfry. To learn about skill commands and key bindings, simply go into the Skills section and check them there. You’ll also see them appear during combat and training, so you shouldn’t have any problems.
