We love games that subtly announce what’s to come! It seems that Marvel Rivals is one of them, as the players may have found more hints that the next Season will introduce the Krakoa map. This goes hand in hand with the previously discovered hint about the Hellfire Gala, as well as the leaks suggesting the Season would be centered around the Gala. So, what have the players discovered?
New Hints Suggest the Next Map Will Be Krakoa
As you know, there is a new event in progress – the Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure. The event’s map resembles a board game. The players can use the special currency, Galacta’s Power Cosmic, to move and collect special rewards. The final reward is a new Black Widow Costume.
It took players practically no time to figure out that this map was split into 6 different parts. Every part represents an existing map in the game. Well, 7 parts if you count the inaccessible center piece marked with a question mark and a timer.
One player, BakeMate, suggested: “each part of the map is segregated by the floating stones, whilst leaving the middle part almost empty. There’s a piece of floating stone that says it’ll be revealed in 23 days and 10 hours. My theory is that we are gonna get a new map, probably Krakoa”.
Furthermore, the OP also noticed that one of the event rewards hinted at Krakoa. The reward in question is the Spray of Professor Xavier’s helmet, the Damaged Cerebro. According to the OP: “The spray is his helmet in Krakoa”.
Marvel Rivals Players Love the In-Game Hints
Of course, Marvel Rivals fans loved that these hints pointed to Krakoa being their next destination. So, they gladly praised the devs for putting the hints in-game rather than sharing them online.
One player, ElSolRacNauj, stated: “This event ends around the release of the next season. I also believe it will reveal the next, new map, but don’t know if that’s enough to say it will be it. Pretty cool though, regardless, making reveals in-game, not just in social media. Feels like a hub of all Marvel Rivals related things, rather than just a simple menu, and I like it”.
At the time of writing this article, around 21 days are left until the island in the middle of the map is revealed. We can’t wait to see if this theory was right!
