Pokémon TCG Pocket is fast approaching its first anniversary, and to celebrate new updates are on the way that will make it easier to complete your collection.
Firstly, a new Share function will be added, which will allow players to give away cards to their friends. The feature will appear on the Social Hub screen, but only one card can be shared each day and only 1-4 diamond rarity cards will be shareable.
Secondly, the range of tradable cards is expanding to include two star rarity cards, as well as shiny 1-2 rarity cards. Further, cards from the most recent expansion will be tradable.
A third tweak will alter wonder picks so that cards not registered in your card dex will appear more often to be chosen.
These updates will collectively make completing your card collection a lot easier, and arrive following the most recent booster pack that repeated rare cards previously released.
While these updates have not been given a specific date, they’re expected this month alongside the game’s anniversary. It certainly feels like a closing chapter on its first year of availability.
A further update will allow players to obtain Flair automatically without consuming shinedust.
The Pokémon Company has also teased the next expansion will feature Mega Evolution Pokémon and is planned for the end of October.
Mega Evolutions are a key part of new spin-off game Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which is released this week.
