Power Rangers: 8 Best Gold Rangers, Ranked

Power Rangers: 8 Best Gold Rangers, Ranked

Power Rangers is one of the longest running and most popular superhero shows in existence. While its heroes are primarily monochromatic and follow the color spectrum, there are some clear exceptions. Some of the most popular Rangers in the entire franchise are the Gold Rangers. They might be slightly rarer than some of the other colors but that usually means they are more powerful.

Antonio Garcia, The Gold Samurai Ranger, is one of the fastest Power Rangers in the franchise and made his own morpher. There are many similar cases within the Gold Rangers and they are usually some of the best of their respective teams. However, not all Gold Rangers are created equally.

Nate Silva Inadvertently Causes the Vejinx Virus to Mutate

Power Rangers: Beast Morphers

Nate Silva is the Beast Morphers Gold Ranger. Like the other Beast Morphers Rangers, he has been further enhanced by animal DNA, or insect, in Silva’s case. However, he is also responsible for turning the Venjinx Virus into Evox. Just like Doctor K in the original series, Silva is undeniably responsible for creating one of the most powerful villains in the series. He manages to rise to the occasion, but likely couldn’t have without his fellow Rangers.

Power Rangers: 10 Strongest Unmorphed Rangers, Ranked

The strongest Power Rangers have just as much power when they’re unmorphed.

In addition to being the Beast Morphers Gold Ranger, Nate also became the Silver Ranger for a short period. His Mantis DNA makes him frighteningly powerful, but it is difficult to overlook the character’s greatest mistake. Thankfully, he has a chance to rectify his grave error before Beast Morphers completely concludes.

Levi Watson Feels like a Cheap Copy of Antonio Garcia

Power Rangers: Ninja Steel

Levi Weston PR Ninja Steel Image via Hasbro

Levi Watson is actually Aiden Romer, the oldest son of Dane Romero, the first Ninja Steel Red Ranger. He becomes a famous singer and briefly lives a life oblivious to his father’s capture, before having his memories wiped and being forcibly thrown into the fray. Once he turns to the side of the Ninja Steel Rangers, he becomes just as powerful as his father and brother, if not more so.

White Ranger with sword, Red Ranger with Sword, and Green Ninja Storm Ranger with sword

10 Strongest Power Rangers Who Use Swords, Ranked

Many Power Rangers have used swords throughout their notable careers, but some are far more skilled with the blade than others.

Along with the other Ninja Steel Rangers, Watson has access to some of the most powerful and numerous transformations in the entire series. He can also utilize the power of storm. All that being said, his design falls flat due to its similarity to previous Gold Rangers. Gold Rangers are typically the most unique looking characters of any series, but that simply cannot be said for Watson.

Gem Is a Huge Part of Doctor K’s Original Backstory

Power Rangers: RPM

gold rpm ranger

Gem originally is forced to remain captive in “alphabet soup” along with Gemma and Doctor K. However, the scientist allows them both to escape, before they return as the Gold and Silver Rangers, respectively. Gem and Gemma appear in some of the fewest episodes of the RPM series, but they are one of the most popular parts of the adaptation.

The Gold RPM Ranger drives both the Falcon Chopper Zord and the Whale Zord, along with plenty of prototype ranger gear. Gem also has a plethora of forms only seen within toylines or spinoffs. Gem is easily one of the biggest examples of a Ranger who doesn’t live up to his full potential, which is somewhat rectified in Super Megaforce.

Aiyon is an Ancient Rafkonian and the Latest Sixth Ranger

Power Rangers: Dino & Cosmic Fury

Aiyon Power Ranger Dino Fury Image via Hasbro

Aiyon might look human, but they are actually an ancient Rafkonian. They are also one of the latest and greatest sixth rangers within the series. Their Rafkonian physiology provides them with a plethora of interesting powers, but they also have extensive Ranger abilities. He has various Dino Battle Armors in addition to some of the most power-ups from the modern series. Aiyon might be one of the most naive characters in the entire franchise, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t powerful.

Aiyon is also the Cosmic Fury Gold Ranger, which isn’t surprising since most of the Rangers carry over between the series. Instead of being given a super series, the Dino Fury Rangers completely change powers and iterations. Nevertheless, Aiyon sets a clear precedent for future Gold Rangers and does an incredible job carrying the torch for the next generation of the series.

Antonio Garcia is one of the Fastest Rangers in History

Power Rangers: Samurai

gold samurai ranger

Antonio Garcia is one of the fastest Power Rangers of all time. He moves so fast that the series broke the fourth wall just to demonstrate how quick he truly is. He has a passion for fishing, but the Gold Samurai Ranger is also just as gifted with technology. They even create their own morpher allowing them to participate in the series to begin with. He might not have access to all the Samurai Ranger’s power-ups, but that’s probably because he doesn’t need them.

Ironically, Garcia would later return in Ninja Steel, interacting with Levi Watson, who shares an extremely similar design. He might be mostly fun-loving, but that doesn’t stop him from getting serious when the situation calls for it. Ultimately, he is a worthy member of the team, no matter what Master Ji might think.

Sir Ivan of Zandar Has Been a Knight for Literal Centuries

Power Rangers: Dino Charge

Sir Ivan of Zandar Power Rangers Dino Charge Image via Saban

Sir Ivan of Zandar is actually a knight from the 13th century. This means that his sword skills are simply off the charts. He was frozen for several years, but that doesn’t mean his combat skills have gotten any worse. Ivan might not understand all the eccentricities of the modern day, but it hasn’t impacted him in battle one bit, aside from the occasional trick.

Power Rangers: 10 Best Black Rangers, Ranked

The Black Rangers typically serve as the Red Rangers’ second-in-command and are often one of the most popular rangers of any given series.

Sir Ivan might only have access to two distinct transformations, but they are both incredibly powerful. They help him utilize his sword skills to an even greater degree and help make him one of the most powerful sixth rangers in the series, at least as far as swordsmen are concerned.

Daggeron Harnesses Literal Magic as the Solaris Knight

Power Rangers: Mystic Force

daggeron

Daggeron is one of the most powerful Power Rangers in the franchise simply because they have access to actual magic. Daggeron also has a genie for an ally named Jenji, but his powers are severely limited within the show. He is not only the Mystic Rangers Sixth Ranger, but also acts as one of their mentors. They are originally skeptical of him, before he proves himself on the field of battle.

White Ranger with sword, Red Ranger with Sword, and Green Ninja Storm Ranger with sword

10 Strongest Power Rangers Who Use Swords, Ranked

Many Power Rangers have used swords throughout their notable careers, but some are far more skilled with the blade than others.

Daggeron is easily one of the most active Sixth Rangers in the series and is a part of nearly every Mystic Force episode of the iteration. He also has an Ancient Mystic Mode which is more powerful, but has several drawbacks. His main weapon of choice in his ancient mystic form is a giant golden sword, which is one of the coolest weapons in the series.

1

Jason Lee Scott Is one of the Strongest Rangers in History

Power Rangers: Zeo

Power Rangers Zeo Gold Ranger

Jason Lee Scott is the original Mighty Morphin Red Ranger who returns to become the Zeo Rangers Sixth Ranger, after his Mighty Morphin retirement. He serves a very similar role to Tommy Oliver in the original series, which is even touched on within the show itself. He is an expert martial artist and, with access to the Zeo crystal, is virtually unstoppable.

Of all the Rangers to return stronger at a different point, Scott’s Gold transformation is easily one of the best examples. When the episode first aired, fans had no idea who the Gold Ranger could be and Scott was the best surprise possible. He might not have been able to stay with the Gold Rangers for long, but it was definitely a welcome appearance nonetheless.
