Power Rangers: The 7 Strongest Zeo Rangers, Ranked

Power Rangers: The 7 Strongest Zeo Rangers, Ranked

Power Rangers is one of the most popular Tokusatsu superhero shows in existence. One of the most powerful Power Rangers team is the Zeo Rangers. Power Rangers Zeo immediately follows the popular Mighty Morphin original series and is arguably even more beloved than the first.

The Zeo Rangers contain many of the secondary Mighty Morphin Rangers, with some new editions. They are widely considered the toughest Rangers team in the entire franchise. While that has more to do with the team’s leader than anything else, the other Rangers still do a fantastic job. Nevertheless, it’s clear that some are more suited to the Power Ranger role than others.

Tanya Sloan is Sent to Fight with the Zeo Rangers in Aisha Campbell’s Stead

Zeo Yellow Ranger

Image via Hasbro

Tanya Sloan is one of the only Zeo Rangers who doesn’t spend any time on the Mighty Morphin team. She is found by the previous Yellow Ranger, Aisha Campbell, who believes she would be a better fit for the team. While Aisha remained in the past, Tanya was sent to the future and began her tenure as a Ranger. She most definitely has the heart for the job, but her inexperience puts her in extreme danger. Power Rangers Zeo is one of the most intense early seasons in the franchise, so sending someone into the battle unprepared seems somewhat unfair to say the least.

Power Rangers: 10 Best Yellow Rangers, Ranked

The Yellow Rangers are usually the glue which holds each Power Rangers team together, but some are clearly more talented than others.

Interestingly enough, one of the problems that consistently plagues Sloan’s character is her time displacement issues. She technically isn’t from modern times, and current situations can occasionally be difficult to grasp. While she eventually gets a handle on things, she always somewhat years for her own era. That said, Tanya is by far one of the best early Yellow Rangers and consistently rises to the occasion despite her somewhat shocking lack of experience.

Adam Park Originally Serves as Zack Taylor’s Replacement

Zeo Green Ranger

Mighty Morphin Adam Park Image via Hasbro

Adam Park originally replaces Zack Taylor as the Black Ranger before going on to become the Green Zeo Ranger. Park is the second Green Ranger in the entire series, meaning he has some rather large shoes to fill. He does a fantastic job in the auxiliary Ranger role, but he is somewhat unremarkable in his career. He was the first Ranger to wear both the Black and Green colors, but his own leader would later do so to a much more popular degree. Park is honestly most interesting when he is assisting the Rangers unmorphed.

Power Rangers: 10 Best Black Rangers, Ranked

The Black Rangers typically serve as the Red Rangers’ second-in-command and are often one of the most popular rangers of any given series.

The Power Rangers often give a morpher to anyone, but Park is the perfect example of a character who continues to serve the team without access to the morphin grid. Similar to Billy Cranston, Park really shines in a support role. That said, he is rather unremarkable whenever it comes to combat. He doesn’t have the skills of his predecessor by any means, but is somewhat more competent than his less self-assured future replacement, Carlos Vallerte.

Katherine “Kat” Hillard Is One of the Longest Serving Pink Rangers in History

Zeo Pink Ranger

Mighty Morphin Katherine Hillard Image via Hasbro

Kat Hillard is often cited as one of the most popular Pink Rangers in history. She is technically one of the longest serving Rangers and serves as an archetype for the position in the future. She is the second Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger, but arguably performs better than Kimberly in the role. She even begins a romance with and later marries Tommy Oliver, after Kimberly breaks up with the latter via a “Dear John” letter. Origins and relationships aside, she is an extremely capable Power Ranger and one of the greatest marksman in the entire franchise. Moreover, she has some of the fastest Zords in the original and Zeo series.

Hillard consistently returns throughout the franchise and is often considered one of the best Pink Rangers the series has to offer. In addition to her unwavering courage, she is also just as athletic as her predecessor. There is almost no question why Rita chose Hillard to attempt to defeat Kimberly and why Zordon would continue to employ her on the team. Without Hillard, the Zeo Ranger would have been defeated many times over. Moreover, she often returns in later seasons in a more supporting role similar to her companion Adam Park.

Rocky DeSantos Performs Much Better as the Blue Zeo Ranger

Zeo Blue Ranger

Rocky DeSantos in Power Rangers

Rocky DeSantos begins the series as Tommy’s second in command after spending time as the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger, and he performs much better as the Zeo Blue Ranger. As a Zeo Ranger, Rocky is able to form his own identity as Tommy’s dedicated second-in-command. He helps provide the secondary personality that many Rangers have come to know and utilize. Rocky is easily one of the most popular Blue Rangers in the earlier series. He might not hold a candle to Jason Lee Scott or Tommy Oliver, but he could easily hold his own against the rest of the Zeo Rangers.

DeSantos is one of the only Zeo Rangers who never actively serves on the Turbo team. In contrast, he is one of the shining stars of the Zeo series. He is always there when Tommy needs him and consistently provides an unwavering air of support similar to Zack Taylor from the original series. Rocky might not always know the right answer, or make decisions for himself, but he’s a great rule follower. He is one of the longest serving Rangers in the entire franchise, but only really makes a difference after getting a color all to his own.

Trey of Treforia Is a Being with Three Distinct and Seperate Personalities

Zeo Gold Ranger

Power Rangers Zeo Gold Ranger

Trey of Treforia is the original Gold Zeo Ranger and serves the series slightly less than the popular secondary edition. Treforia is actually three separate beings who use the power of the Morphin Grid to form into a singular combative consciousness. Trey is a great addition to the series, but he is somewhat unremarkable compared to other Gold Rangers, one even from the same series. He might be the lord of the entire planet, but that doesn’t make him the strongest Zeo Ranger in the series.

Green Ninja Storm Ranger, Tommy Oliver as the Green Ranger, and Green Zeo Ranger in Power Rangers

Power Rangers: 10 Best Green Rangers, Ranked

Green may have joined the Power Rangers as an extra member to the group, but quickly became one of the teams’ core colors.

Interestingly enough, Trey is one of the original first few Rangers not connected with Zordon in any way. He later chooses to assist the Zeo Rangers, but Trey gains access to the Morphin grid in a unique way. This makes him arguably stronger than many of the Zeo Rangers since he can technically access his powers independently of Zordon. That said, he is clearly less powerful than some of the breakout stars of the Zeo series and doesn’t even serve as the Gold Zeo Ranger the longest.

2

Jason Lee Scott Plays Second-In-Command Just as Well as His Predecessor

Zeo Gold Ranger II

MMPR Red Ranger, and Gold Zeo Ranger

Jason Lee Scott is one of the most iconic Rangers in the entire series. He is the original Red Ranger who later returns to help multiple eras of the popular tokusatsu fighting team. Scott would eventually retire as the Red Ranger to attend a peace summit, before living a relatively peaceful life. However, after Trey of Treforia is unable to maintain his role as the Gold Zeo Ranger, Scott steps up once again. He serves as Tommy’s second-in-command, similar to the way Oliver served him in the Mighty Morphin series.

The Team in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Every Mighty Morphinโ€™ Power Rangersโ€™ Color, Main Weapon, Forms, Age, Height & Zords

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are the original and some of the most unique Rangers in the franchise’s entire history.

Since Jason has arguably the most experience out of many of the Zeo Rangers, he has an easy edge. Scott is one of the best swordsman in the entire series and regularly defeats combatants even more powerful than himself. He is a welcome edition to any Power Rangers series both present and past, but he isn’t the most powerful Ranger of all time. Scott might be the first Red Ranger, but the series is a perfect example of how the first isn’t necessarily the best.

Tommy Oliver Is, Without a Doubt, the Greatest Power Ranger of all Time

Zeo Red Ranger

Tommy Oliver ready for a fight in Power Rangers Zeo

Tommy Oliver is the greatest Power Ranger of all time. He has the best skills, the greatest Zords, and by far the best relationship with the Morphin Grid in the entire series. He is easily the best martial artist in the entire franchise and consistently learns from his mistakes. There is a reason that Tommy is the Ranger chosen to lead the rest of the Red Rangers in the Forever Red special. Nonetheless, his most powerful tenure is as the Red Zeo Ranger.

As the Red Zeo Ranger, Oliver continuously grows stronger as he continues using the Red Zeo crystal. He definitely shines as a leader, and consistently provides some of the best direction the franchise has ever received. He might not be undefeated, but he proves that each mistake brings him even closer to becoming the power house he is known for by the franchise.
