The latest update to the PlayStation Plus subscription service has added underrated Soulslike game Another Crab’s Treasure to the Extra tier. Typically, new games are added to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus near the middle of any given month, but Sony is shaking things up thanks to the ongoing Days of Play event.
To celebrate Sony’s annual Days of Play event, PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting treated to bonus games across the service’s various tiers. PS Plus Essential subscribers were recently treated to Destiny 2: The Final Shape expansion, while those signed up for PS Plus Extra have a variety of bonus games to look forward to between now and June 10.

One of the games recently added to the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog has a platinum trophy that’s pretty much impossible to unlock.
Right now, PlayStation Plus subscribers signed up for the Extra or Premium tier can play Another Crab’s Treasure. Another Crab’s Treasure is a quirky Soulslike that was first released in 2024 about a hermit crab trying to reclaim his home. Another Crab’s Treasure features all the usual hallmarks of the Soulslike genre, like tough-as-nails battles and fights against challenging bosses that push players to their limit. The game earned a 78 overall rating, which is a little low in my opinion, and is worth checking out for genre fans and those who don’t normally vibe with Soulslikes.
That’s because Another Crab’s Treasure features difficulty options, allowing players to enjoy the game at their own pace. In fact, Another Crab’s Treasure lets players literally whip out a gun and one-shot every enemy they come across if they want. The game is hilarious and also features plenty of 3D platforming, which makes it a unique entry in the Soulslike pantheon.
Another Crab’s Treasure is the first bonus PS Plus Extra game added as part of the Days of Play event, but there are more titles to look forward to in the near future. Skull and Bones is coming to PS Plus Extra on June 2, while Destiny 2: Legacy Collection will be added on June 4. Then, on June 5, PS Plus Premium subscribers can look forward to Myst and Riven. Finally, Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition will be added to PS Plus Extra on June 10.
