Ready or Not: Mirage at Sea Guide

Ready or Not: Mirage at Sea Guide

Mirage at Sea is a high-stakes mission in Ready or Not where players race against time to save hostages on a luxury ship. Speed is the key to completing this mission, but with the incredibly lethal suspects aboard the ship, players will need to think twice before rushing in.

Similar to missions like the Elephant, Mirage at Sea pressures players to execute their strategies quickly and without fail. If you’re having trouble clearing this mission without taking casualties, here’s a guide to help you out.

Ready or Not: Mirage at Sea Mission Overview

Before anything else, consider wearing light armor with steel plates for this mission. The extra speed will help you find and secure a VIP faster, but if you find that you’re dying too often with this armor setup, use full heavy armor with ceramic plates instead.

Objectives

  • Bring Order to Chaos
  • Arrest Sah’id
  • Rescue All of the Civilians

The reason why you want to move fast here is because suspects will start executing civilians once you fire a shot. You can prevent any hostages from getting killed by hunting down Sah’id bin Khalid, an unarmed VIP wearing traditional white Arab garb.

RoN Mirage at Sea Sah'id

Sah’id is stubborn, and he will resist arrest until you subdue him with pepper spray, a taser, or any non-lethal gadget. This can be problematic, as he may run toward his bodyguards. You can often find Sah’id on the first or second decks of the ship, either in the office area or the living quarters. Cuffing him should be the first thing you do.

Once you arrest Sah’id, the civilian executions will be prevented, and you’ll be able to clear the boat normally. However, keep in mind that the majority of armed guards here use thick body armor and battle rifles, which means they can shrug off most non-armor-piercing rounds and punch through the boat’s thin walls with ease. You can adjust your RoN loadout to match their firepower, or go full non-lethal.

Be extra careful when approaching stairways. Throw flashbangs before you ascend or descend.

All Ready or Not: Mirage at Sea Soft Objectives

RoN Mirage at Sea Office Soft Objective

There are two crime scenes in Mirage at Sea that serve as soft objectives:

  • The blood trail in the office on the second deck.
  • A dead body hidden in three possible spawn points.

The office is easy enough to find — just head upstairs and go past the party deck. Look for the prompt on the blood trail to claim this soft objective.

The dead body, however, isn’t as simple to find. Its location changes every time the mission starts. To secure this soft objective, search the following areas:

  • The walk-in freezer in the first deck’s kitchen.
  • The storage room next to the stairs that’s just outside the kitchen.
  • The lower part of the maintenance deck.

How to Get S-Rank in Ready or Not: Mirage at Sea

RoN Mirage at Sea pistol on desk

As per usual, to get an S-rank in any RoN mission, you need to clear the level perfectly without any casualties or penalties. This includes securing every piece of evidence, soft objectives, and suspects. Use a non-lethal loadout, and do the same thing you would do in a regular mission attempt.

One important thing to note here is that there’s a pistol on the office desk on the second deck. This counts as evidence, though it won’t get highlighted like any other weapon would even if you have that specific accessibility option enabled.

We do recommend bringing a Beanbag Shotgun here instead of a pepperball gun, and that’s simply due to how lethal the enemies are. A well-placed beanbag will immediately stun a suspect, preventing them from getting any more shots off. Still, pepperball guns will do just fine if you can play around their strengths and weaknesses.
