Starfinder: Afterlight’s cast is already as star-studded as the galaxy its crew will be exploring, boasting names such as Carolina Ravassa, Fred Tatasciore, and the recently revealed Neil Newbon. Now, Starfinder: Afterlight adds another name to its impressive cast, Roger Clark, who will be stepping into the role of the game’s Narrator. Clark’s voice will accompany the player as they travel through the galaxy to locate the missing Captain Khali and find a way to stop the mysterious and deadly Afterlight.
Roger Clark Adds A “Space Western” Flair To The Game’s Narration
Roger Clark is best known for his role as Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2. As a clip shared by developer Epictellers Entertainment reveals, Clark brings a similar Western flair to his narration in Starfinder: Afterlight, sporting a distinct accent that will be extremely familiar to Red Dead Redemption 2 players. The narrator isn’t afraid to share his opinions, either, describing companion Lu-323’s gaze as “like an X-ray machine” that makes the player “feel naked” when she looks at them.
Clark’s narration helps emphasize both the epic scope of Afterlight’s story and the game’s humorous tone, which the developers have previously compared to Guardians of the Galaxy. His frank, opinionated narration, delivered in such an iconic accent, adds a “space Western” feel to the game, which is a perfect fit for Afterlight. It’s memorable, unique, and just a little bit irreverent, and players can look forward to Clark narrating their entire journey through space in a similar manner.
More Starfinder: Afterlight casting announcements could potentially be coming in the near future. The game’s Kickstarter, which is available to back until November 6, recently unlocked the “full voice acting” milestone, meaning that every villain, side character, and NPC in the game will be fully voiced. Many of these roles have not yet been cast, but the Epictellers team is excited to bring more talent onto the project and make further casting announcements in the upcoming months.
Fans interested in playing the game early and meeting Roger Clark’s narrator and the game’s eclectic cast of companions can contribute to the Kickstarter to gain access to the Starfinder: Afterlight beta test when it launches.
