Recoleta is a 6-star limited character that falls under the Mineral Afflatus in Reverse: 1999. She’s a Reality Damage dealer and belongs solely in the DMG/DPS class. She’s a great character to summon if you’re new or a veteran to the game, as she brings a unique set of skills to use.

However, Reverse: 1999 players do need to be aware that using Recoleta takes a lot of time and effort. She’s rather picky with her teammates, and obtaining the right stats for your damage output can be rather challenging. Nonetheless, Recoleta is a great DPS, and if you’re planning to get her, here’s a rundown of her skills, psychubes, and team compositions.

Recoleta’s Skills in Reverse: 1999, Explained

Recoleta has a unique set of skills that specialise in ultimate damage dealing, whilst also providing debuffs and status effects. The main skills you want to focus on are Literary Imagery (Skill 2) and Maze of Visceral Realm (Ultimate Skill). With Skill 2, she gains the status of effect of either Monomythic Narrative or Ensemble Narrative, upon attacking 2 enemies. This status effect is extremely special as it links up to her Ultimate, and consuming all stacks of this effect will result in her dealing much higher damage.

Her Ultimate, on the other hand, consumes all Moxie to increase Ultimate Might. The amount of Moxie is stackable, so your main goal here is to stack as much Moxie as you can on her before using the Ultimate. The way you can do this is by using her Metaphysical Conceit (Skill 1) to inflict [Passion Drain], another status effect where the attacker gains 1+ Moxie after being attacked. Her Monomythic/Ensemble Narrative status effect is stackable up to 20 times, so once you hit that with the [Passion Drain], unleash her Ultimate, and you’ll have successfully taken advantage of her damage prowess. Make sure to save at least 5 Moxie before doing so.

Best Psychubes For Recoleta in Reverse: 1999

Recoleta’s signature psychube, The Final Roll, is her best-in-slot. It would be even better if you could get this psychube to max amplification, as that would greatly increase her damage output. With it, her Ultimate Might increases up to 24%, and her Critical DMG increases up to 32%. You can buy this psychube from the event store upon her release.

If you don’t manage to get her psychube, some other options would be Rehearsal of Dreams or Another Story. Rehearsal of Dreams is a great option as it focuses on increasing her Ultimate Might, which will further increase the damage dealt by it. Another Story is the third option you have, and although it’s not the best, it’s decent for short-term survival. The psychube also gives Recoleta Ultimate Might, but the damage potential isn’t as great as the previous two options.

Best Resonance Build For Recoleta in Reverse: 1999

You want to have Recoleta on an Elucidation build with an Ultimate Might and Crit Rate substat. You’re aiming for a Critical Build here at Resonance 10, which will maximize her damage drastically. Any other build likely won’t work on her, so make sure your Elucidation set has Critical Rate, Critical DMG, Ultimate Might, and ATK on it.

Best Team Compositions For Recoleta in Reverse: 1999

Although Recoleta is a huge addition to DMG dealing class of Reverse: 1999, she can be extremely picky when it comes to teammates. This is especially true because of her heavy reliance on Moxie-aligned effects that she requires for her Ultimate. She needs characters that can consume, gain, or store a lot of Moxie.

Recoleta + Melania (E) + Pickles (E) + Medicine Pocket (E)

This is your strongest team when using Recoleta because Melania is currently the only character that’s perfect for her. You’ll need to have Melania’s Euphoria to properly make use of the damage dealt, but even if you don’t, you can still manage. Melania brings in a whopping 72% Ultimate Might and 36% Ult-only Crit Rate and Crit DMG buff, which is perfect for Recoleta.

Pickles provides up to 80% raw damage bonus, with an increase in Crit and Penetration. Pickles will essentially give you more damage in shorter rotations, and his Moxie accumulation is a huge plus point. If you don’t have Pickles, you can use Shamane, whose Ultimate generates more Moxie. Medicine Pocket Euphoria can reduce enemies’ crit resistance and crit defense. This is always a welcome option for these types of teams. Additionally, he also heals.

Recoleta + Lopera + Hissabeth + Fatutu

Although Melania is a must-have for Recoleta, she also works pretty decently with other characters like Lopera and Kiperina. Lopera brings aggressive Crit Rate buffs and Crit Rate to Crit DMG conversion that Recoleta will greatly benefit from. Hissabeth is also another great option for the team as her spam attack deals Genesis DMG and generates Moxie. Fatutu is an additional buff and heal with this team, and, quite frankly, if you have her, she can be added to any match-up. If you don’t have Fatutu, you can either use Kakania or Medicine Pocket. And if you don’t have Lopera, use Shamane or Kiperina.
