RimWorld‘s Odyssey DLC has added plenty of new firepower for the players, and Unique Weapons are at the top of the food chain.

First, we have new standard weapons that different methods can obtain. Unique Weapons might look the same on some occasions, but these are special versions of your ordinary guns. Not only do these guns have better firepower, but they have status effects in place as well. How to get Unique Weapons in RimWorld Odyssey?

As of writing, there’s no certain way of obtaining a Unique Weapon. You can’t craft them (I am desperately waiting for a mod). Here’s the complete list of all methods you can try to secure one of these powerful weapons for your settlers.

• Complete Rare fishing events, which is the only way I have received my Unique Weapon.
• Visitors visiting your settlement (or ship in this scenario) can sometimes offer them as gifts.
• You’ll come across chests by completing different quests. Some of them can reward you with Unique Weapons.
• Look out for Landmarks like Ancient Factories. Such areas can also offer chests for you to unlock and get Unique Weapons (depends entirely on luck, and there’s no guarantee when you’ll find one)

Best Unique Weapon traits in RimWorld Odyssey

Every Unique Weapon will have one or more traits on offer. Some of them are extremely strong if you’re lucky enough to get in the first place.

• High Power Rounds: Most damage and armor piercing.
• Charge Capacitor: Massive benefits for Pulse weapons.
• EMP Rounds: Extremely useful against Hivemind.
• Improved Sights: Better accuracy and faster shooting.

Additionally, Unique Weapons can sometimes have Special Attachments on them, which certainly raises their firepower.
