By the looks of it, the future of The First Descendant is quite bright. Over the last couple of weeks, the developers revealed several exciting plans, such as the plan for more open-world content, the one for simplifying the Collosi farming, and the devs even talked about a collab and a companion app. A lot is going on in The First Descendant, so it’s safe to assume that many rookies will be joining the game and asking for advice. So, devoted players offered some.
A Beginner Has Lots of Questions for The First Descendant Veterans
So, you’ve recently joined The First Descendant community and you have a million questions? Don’t worry! This game might seem quite complicated to a beginner, but it’s fairly easy to grasp everything if you take it slowly and follow veterans’ advice.
One new player, TheColttheBolt, took to Reddit and asked some well-put questions to which all new players should have answers. The first question was basically how hard the game was. Was it challenging enough?
Secondly, the OP wanted to know if it mattered that they were “starting late”. Would a player joining now instead of at the launch be in too much of a disadvantage? Next, with the game being free to play, the OP wanted to know if it was necessary to spend some money to progress.
Finally, the OP was interested in the repetitiveness of missions, and if it affected the number of players. They wanted to know if they would be able to experience the maximum amount of content available.

Rookies Deserve All the Answers and All the Advice
Well, The First Descendant community didn’t disappoint the rookies, as its members answered all the questions and offered some bonus pieces of advice. So, let’s see what the veterans have to say!
Prince_Tho offered the most concise answers. This player noted: “Complete the story first, once done you will be introduced to the endgame grind. There’s no FOMO. You can ignore the cash shop 100%. The doomers here will say the game is dying constantly. Just enjoy at your own pace”.
Steinyamite elaborated on the last answer. This player stated: “It is an MMO hack n slash style game so sometimes you’ll have to grind missions on repeat to grab items to take into a boss fight for rewards. They’re pretty quick and can be done in public lobbies. I never see player count low enough to affect any gameplay. There are ups and downs but there’s a steady enough community”.
Aside from that, some players offered extra advice. One player, goldenfish1990, said: “DON’T start with male characters. Don’t buy…. ask others to farm with you ultimate parts. DON’T goon much”.
There you have it! Now you are ready to begin your journey. Hopefully, these answers will help you navigate the game to the best of your abilities and you’ll be able to enjoy it as much as we do!
