Benny Muldoon, the Sheriff for Seattle’s vampire court, has proven to be quite the troublemaker in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and if you want to know more about the mark on Phyre’s hand while getting in the good graces of the local Prince, you’ll need to find Benny and deal with him appropriately.
Unfortunately, you’re not the only one interested in him. Katsumi, the leader of Seattle’s thin-blood Anarchs in Bloodlines 2, wants to dispense her own brand of justice against Benny. Whether you give him to Ryong or Katsumi will affect your relationship with the Camarilla and the Anarchs respectively, so you’ll ahve to make a choice depending on who you want to side with.
What Happens If You Give Benny to Katsumi in Bloodlines 2?
As you’d expect, Benny will get taken away by Katsumi’s gang, and you’ll never see him again. Katsumi will thank you for your cooperation, and she’ll invite you to their den at the Hole in the Wall. By giving Benny to Katsumi, you’ll mark the beginning of an amicable relationship with the Anarchs, but of course, Prince Ryong will be disappointed at your results.
Upon returning to Weaver Tower, Ryong will express her dissatisfaction, but despite that, she’ll still give you permission to stay in Seattle. More importantly, now that they no longer have a Sheriff, she’ll give you Benny’s old job too, unlocking the rest of the Bloodlines 2 story in the process. Failing to bring Benny back won’t land you within the good graces of the Camarilla, but at least they’ll let your Masquerade breach incident slide for now.
What Happens If You Give Benny to Ryong in Bloodlines 2?
Giving Benny to Ryong is pretty much just an inverted parallel of the scenario above. Instead of becoming friends with the Anarchs, you’ll build a better reputation with Prince Ryong and the Camarilla. Despite Katsumi’s threats, she won’t attack you, nor will she completely scorn you for your decision. Katsumi will be less friendly for sure, but she’ll still invite you to the Hole in the Wall, in case you ever change your mind.
Back at Weaver Tower, Ryong will be pleased that you brought Benny back to her. She will punish him according to the Camarilla’s laws, and Benny will get taken out of the picture for the rest of the story. You’ll have much friendlier relations with Ryong and the other upstanding members of vampire society, but just like before, she’ll give you the role of Sheriff to fill Benny’s now-vacant position.
Ultimately, whether you give Benny to Ryong or Katsumi in Bloodlines 2 doesn’t have that big of an impact on the story. One side will approve of your decision, while the other won’t. By the end of the game, this particular choice is mostly glossed over. However,
