Following the conclusion of the second season of Solo Leveling, there has been no news about the next season. Fans were almost one hundred percent sure that Solo Leveling Season 3 would be announced immediately.

During the recent Aniplex Online Fest, Solo Leveling fans were hoping to get an update regarding the third season, but that wasn’t the case. But the event was still good, and there were many interesting announcements. One of the highlights of the event was the confirmation of the Inherit the Winds anime.

According to reports, Inherit the Winds was being discussed by Aniplex for five years. It is worth pointing out that Inherit the Winds is an original anime, which means it is not based on a manga or any other source. So, it makes sense why it took time to greenlight the anime, as such projects are rather risky.

Now that the anime has been confirmed, there’s no doubt that Aniplex will work hard to ensure that the project is a success. The studios for Inherit the Winds have already been confirmed. Drive and Live2D Creative Studio will be collaborating on the project. Tomohiro Kawamura (Air Bound, Miru: Paths To My Future) is the director for the anime, while Yutaka Narui is the screenwriter. It may not involve any big names, but Aniplex wouldn’t trust them with a huge project if it wasn’t confident in their abilities.

Fans who are interested in the plot will be glad to know that it is different from most anime. It is set in Kyoto towards the end of the Edo period. Inherit the Winds follows the story of a young soldier who suffers amnesia and gets involved with the Shinsengumi. At the time of writing, there is no release date for Inherit the Winds, but Aniplex will disclose new details in the coming months.

Despite Aniplex not sharing any new updates regarding Solo Leveling Season 3, there is no reason to fret. Solo Leveling is one of Aniplex’s biggest hitters, so there is no chance for the anime to be dropped completely. Aniplex is likely working on a production schedule for the third season, and once that’s figured out, the third season should be announced.

Many people have speculated that Season 3 will be released in 2028, which is still three years away. But there’s a very low chance that will actually be the case. As previously mentioned, Solo Leveling is famous around the world, and its popularity is at an all-time high. If Aniplex waits around for too long, it would cause fans’ interest to die down, and certainly the organization wouldn’t want that. So, there is a possibility that Solo Leveling will be released in the next two years.

The third season of the anime will see Sung Jinwoo go to the Cartenon Temple to meet the Architect, who designed the System. The hero wants to know about the System and why it was created. However, the Architect will not divulge the answers without putting Jinwoo through a test, which means the latter has to be prepared.

Solo Leveling Season 3 will also reveal Jinwoo’s new powers. Fans already know that Jinwoo has the ability to raise the dead and turn them into Shadows. He has already obtained several Shadows, who serve him loyally, but he wouldn’t want to stop. Therefore, Jinwoo will try to find more powerful opponents that he can raise as Shadows.
