Summary
- PS Plus subscribers in India are missing one of the three new games for April 2025.

- Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory is unavailable for subscribers in India, leaving only two games available to redeem.
PlayStation Plus subscribers based in India are reportedly missing out on one of the three new games that were added to the service on April 1. On the first Tuesday of every month, Sony rotates out the previous month’s games and adds three new titles for PlayStation Plus subscribers to claim. Unfortunately, there are occasionally discrepancies in the games released per region, usually due to licensing issues or a certain country’s laws.
This isn’t the first time that the PlayStation Plus lineup has been different for certain users. Back in January, Sony added Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Deluxe to its popular subscription service. However, subscribers based in Hong Kong were disappointed to find that instead of receiving The Stanley Parable: Deluxe, they had DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game to claim. Sony did not provide an official reason as to why the games were different for the month of January, but April’s lineup looks to be even worse for some subscribers, as there appears to be one game completely missing for those in India.

PS Plus Subscribers Missing Free Game in India
On April 1, PlayStation added three new games to PS Plus. For most users around the world, these new titles are RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory. However, some subscribers have recently taken to the PlayStation Plus subreddit to report an issue with the new monthly games, claiming that only RoboCop: Rogue City and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre are available to claim in India. It’s unclear why, but the region appears to be completely missing out on Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory, with PlayStation failing to provide a reason for its absence or a game in its place.
While this won’t affect other subscribers worldwide, gamers based in India aren’t happy that they are once again missing out on one of PlayStation Plus’ free games. In response to Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory being seemingly absent from the list of games for April 2025, Reddit user No_Commision_5731 called it “pathetic,” while AlfalfaCapable said that Sony should have given subscribers a different game in its place, as that is what the company does in other regions. Plenty of other users also chimed in to note how unfair it is that other regions receive an alternate title when issues like this arise, but for some reason, subscribers based in India are only receiving two games for April.
The absence of one PlayStation Plus monthly free game for certain subscribers comes just days after users have made it clear that they will be canceling their PlayStation Plus subscription. Subscribers recently took to social media to express their disappointment with the service, with some stating that they were refusing to renew their subscription for the first time in fifteen years. While the reason for cancellation seems to vary between users, many were citing the constant price hikes, lack of meaningful discounts, and games leaving the service too quickly as the driving force behind their cancellation. With users seemingly fed up the service, removing one of the three monthly games from certain subscribers is likely to frustrate fans even further.
