Something peculiar is happening on the bot front. The players are in the middle of a Major Order, liberating Chort Bay. However, some Helldivers 2 players suggested that they were liberating the wrong planet. They offered some pretty extensive research to prove this quite undemocratic theory.
Helldivers 2 Players Are Concerned About Not Being on the Right Planet
After months of waiting, the intel about the location of Jet Brigade factories was finally decoded. So, the latest Major Order sent Helldivers to Chort Bay, the supposed site of the factories. However, according to players’ reports, no factories were in sight.
Also, the progress on this planet has been quite slow. At the time of writing this article, around 28,5k players are fighting on Chort Bay, but they are only making around 2,5% liberation progress per hour. That’s because of the quite high regen rate, which is currently at 3% per hour.
However, the slow progress isn’t the most concerning factor. That would be the absence of the Jet Brigade. For the last couple of days, Helldivers haven’t stumbled upon any bots with jet packs. Naturally, some Helldivers became suspicious because of this.
One player, bashdzy, stated: “We are here to kill jet bot factories but I have not seen any factories making them nor any jet bots. It feels like this Major Order is not what it seems like the devs have bigger plans than this”.
If Chort Bay Is the Wrong Planet, Which One Might Be Right?
Given the fact that the regen rate on Menkent, a planet connected to Chort Bay, has been steadily growing, some players became concerned. So, those Helldivers 2 players asked the hard question, was it possible that the Major Order sent them to the wrong planet?
Between January 27 and February 1, the regen rate on Menkent grew from 1,5% per hour all the way up to 4% per hour. As you know, this means that the enemies are gathering on the said planet. Also, historically speaking, a sudden jump in the regen rate always indicated that the Jet Brigade was on that particular planet.
Meanwhile, the regen rate on Chort Bay has been at 3% for a while. So, some players suggested that there’s been a mix-up. Or, that the bots fed Helldivers false intel to trap them on a planet in the middle of the bot front… which is Chort Bay.
So, dear Helldiver, be careful out there. There is no way of knowing how this story will unfold, and we can only hope for the best. Not to mention all that mess with the wormhole. It will be an exciting week, to say the least. So, go forth and give your best. For Liberty and Super Earth.
