Spice Secrets, Part of KIGI, Releases in Early Access on Android

Spice Secrets: A Culinary Adventure, a mobile game by Bengaluru-based Shura Games, has launched in early access for Android on the Play Store. The studio is part of the Krafton India Gaming Incubator (KIGI).

The match-3 puzzle game is centred on Indian cuisine, where players match ingredients, unlock recipes, and progress toward becoming a master chef. The game includes hundreds of levels and various challenges.

A grandmother narrator, Nani, guides players as they restore her kitchen, uncover hidden culinary secrets, and discover new recipes to try at home.

KIGI, a mentorship program introduced by Krafton in October 2023, supports indie game developers across India with funding, development assistance, marketing, and more.

Shura Games is part of KIGI’s first cohort, led by Shubham Bengale. In an interview with IGN India, he shared how the program helped the team gain a clearer understanding of game development as a “multifaceted process, requiring attention to various aspects.”

“On the technical side, our developers are implementing new strategies we learned, and we’re gearing up for our first soft launch,” he said. “Thanks to the mentorship and workshops, we’ve been able to foresee potential challenges and develop scalable systems for long-term engagement.”
