Star Wars Zero Company was announced at April’s Star Wars Celebration Japan, and has a release window of 2026. The announcement is a welcome change of pace, as it will be a tactical strategy game, rather than follow in the footsteps of other recent Star Wars games that are online multiplayer or action games. Star Wars Zero Company focuses on a small squad of elite specialists, each with their own motives and agenda, who take down covert targets during the Clone Wars.
The Clone Wars is one of the most interesting time periods that Star Wars has to offer, thanks to Palpatine’s machinations in the background, and the Jedi in their last days as a full Order. Media that depict the Clone Wars show sweeping space battles, brutal ground campaigns, and breathtaking lightsaber combat. During this short period of three years, there were many characters who distinguished themselves as iconic in Star Wars, while others only featured briefly but were interesting enough to garner dedicated fans.

Star Wars Characters Who Could Help Zero Company in the Field
Arc Trooper Fives
As Zero Company is set during the Clone Wars, including clones would make sense. One of the most popular clone characters is Fives, who played a pivotal role in the Clone Wars. Fives was an ARC Trooper, and was assigned as a specialist on high-intensity missions. Fives is shown to be willing to break the rules to get the job done, and would be a natural fit for Zero Company. Although Fives played an important role in the Clone Wars, there are gaps in his timeline, so it would be great to see him again.
Quinlan Vos
Quinlan Vos was a Jedi Master who is notoriously unorthodox and specialized in tracking, thanks to his rare psychometry ability that allows him to sense Force echoes. A survivor of Order 66 and one of the architects of the Hidden Path, Quinlan had a small role in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but has been expanded upon in the novel Star Wars: Dark Disciple, where he appeared alongside Sith assassin Asajj Ventress. He most recently appeared in Tales of the Underworld. Quinlan is a popular character in the Star Wars community, and there’s far more of his story to uncover.
Mon Mothma
One of the cited influences of Zero Company is Andor, implying that politics may play a role. Senator Mon Mothma plays a key part in Andor as a rebel and a member of the Imperial Senate. Mon Mothma was shown to be a senator during the Clone Wars in a deleted scene in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Bringing her into Zero Company would introduce the politics of the Clone Wars, and she would be an interesting diversion from Padme, who usually appears as a representative of the Senate in Star Wars.
Pre Vizsla
The Clone Wars took place across the galaxy and even reached neutral systems such as Mandalore. Pre Vizsla would become a primary reason Mandalore was drawn into the conflict. As the leader of Death Watch, a Mandalorian organization that wanted Mandalore to return to its warrior traditions, Pre Vizsla became a prominent figure in the Clone Wars and notoriously allied with Darth Maul to regain Mandalore. It’s likely that Zero Company will have to deal with shady figures, and Pre Vizsla would be the most interesting, especially with both a Mandalorian and a clone trooper on the team.
