Starsand Island is full of collectibles, including various treasure chests. Some chests have fixed locations, while others appear randomly or are hidden behind puzzles.

Some chests spawn randomly based on RNG and are excluded from this guide, as their locations cannot currently be predicted.

How to Produce and Farm Treasure Chests
Players can craft the “World Tree,” an item that can be planted on the farm to periodically grow treasure chests. Crafting it requires Worktable Level Three and a blueprint that must be unlocked through exploration. Planting multiple World Trees on the farm is the most reliable way to farm treasure chests in Starsand Island.
How to Get and Use Treasure Maps
Treasure maps can be found in random locations, often inside other treasure chests. To use a map, players will need to equip it like any other tool or weapon, then follow the yellow arrow on the screen. The arrow will lead them to a spot where they can dig up a treasure chest.
I was able to dig up two treasure chests from the same spot by using two maps back-to-back. It’s unclear whether this is intentional or a bug, but it can save time. Just follow the arrow to the first chest, then immediately use the second map to get another chest from the same location.
How to Find and Use Flawed Chests
Flawed Chests are a type of treasure in Starsand Island that usually contain valuables like Coins. They can appear in regular treasure chests or be obtained through fishing. To open a Flawed Chest, players should go to the Bag menu, tap “Options,” and select “Use.”
Flawed Chests can also be sold at any vendor, but this is generally not recommended. The items inside are often more valuable than the coins players would get from selling the chest.
How to Complete Parkour Treasure Puzzles
Starsand Island includes mini-game parkour puzzles that can lead to hidden treasure chests. In Starsand Town, these puzzles are marked by a glowing aura over certain obstacles. Players must follow the aura, jumping across the obstacles without falling, to reach a hidden chest.
In Moonlit Forest, hidden chests are unlocked by rescuing Gravestars. Use the pickaxe to break Gravecrystals, the glowing reddish stones, to free the trapped souls, then follow them to the chest’s location. Each treasure typically requires freeing three nearby Gravestars.
Some Gravecrystals in Moonlit Forest also unlock new routes called Astral Paths.
