Steam users have an exciting slate of PC games scheduled to release in April 2026. Valve’s popular PC gaming platform sees dozens of releases every month, from indie projects and early access titles to full AAA launches. April 2026 will see 11 significant Steam games launch from a variety of different genres, so all PC gamers will likely find something to look forward to playing in the month ahead.
Although Crimson Desert is currently dominating the Steam charts in terms of player count, several upcoming April games could surpass Pearl Abyss’ open-world epic. Steam’s April 2026 release calendar is definitely skewed toward the latter half of the month, but both Darwin’s Paradox and Temtem: Swarm‘s 1.0 release get the month started off strong. However, PC gamers will have to wait a couple of weeks before the ball of game releases really gets rolling.

Both Darwin’s Paradox and Temtem: Swarm release on April 2, giving Steam users two brand-new games almost immediately at the start of April. Darwin’s Paradox is an action-adventure puzzle platformer where players take on the role of an octopus named Darwin as he attempts to escape a mysterious industrial complex and return home to the ocean. Being published by Komani, Darwin’s Paradox includes a Metal Gear Solid-inspired demo that players can try out right now before the full game releases on April 2.
Temtem: Swarm is the other April 2 Steam release, as the game finally hits its 1.0 version. Temtem: Swarm is a spin-off of the Pokemon-like monster taming game from 2022, and this bullet hell roguelite has been in early access since 2024. With its 1.0 release, Temtem: Swarm will give players full access to its co-op Vampire Survivors-like gameplay featuring the critters fans of the franchise have come to know and love.
A few weeks later, Steam users can check out what are arguably three of the biggest PC releases in April 2026. On April 14, REPLACED releases on Steam, and players will get to dive into its gorgeous cyberpunk world and experience its narrative-driven 2D action-platforming gameplay. REPLACED has been a highly anticipated title since its visually striking HD-2D pixel art style was first revealed at E3 2021, and it also has a demo for players to try and get a feel for the game’s world before its full release.
On April 16, Mouse: P.I. for Hire releases, bringing a stylish rubber hose animation style to the FPS genre. Mouse: P.I. for Hire follows the story of investigator Jack Pepper, voiced by the illustrious Troy Baker, known for his performances as Higgs in Death Stranding and Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Now, players will be able to immerse themselves in the era of 1930s cartoons with a violent twist, similar to what Cuphead accomplished back in 2017.
Atomic Heart‘s Blood on Crystal DLC will also release on April 16.
Likely the largest Steam release in April is Capcom’s new sci-fi adventure IP, Pragmata. The game follows protagonist Hugh and his android companion Diana as they work to escape the lunar research station through a combination of puzzle-solving and third-person combat gameplay. Capcom already knocked it out of the park with the release of Resident Evil Requiem in February, so having another massive title like Pragmata release just two months later is a welcome double dose of action from the beloved developer.
The last two weeks of April will see a solid run of new Steam game releases, starting with Vampire Crawlers on April 21. Vampire Crawlers is the latest game from poncle, the developer behind the indie hit Vampire Survivors. This dungeon-crawling roguelike trades the bullet hell gameplay of its predecessor for deckbuilding, card-battling gameplay, similar to one of March’s biggest Steam game releases, Slay the Spire 2.
Just one day later, on April 22, two fairly large games are releasing on Steam. Tides of Tomorrow is a “plastic punk” narrative adventure game from the developers of Road 96. In Tides of Tomorrow, players will have to navigate a flooded world that is struggling to survive while making choices that will impact not only their own game, but the games of other players as well, using the Online Story-Link system. This feature allows the choices of one player to affect the world of all players online, almost like Death Stranding‘s “Strand-like” gameplay.
On the same day, Steam gamers will get exclusive access to the god game city builder, Masters of Albion. Coming from Fable series creator Peter Molyneux, Masters of Albion lets players affect almost every aspect of the world of Albion, blending strategy, simulation, town management, and tower defense mechanics into its gameplay. For fans of Fable or city builders, Masters of Albion will be a game they will want to check out day one for sure.
Another beloved developer is releasing its latest game on April 23. Double Fine Productions is known for games like Psychonauts and Brutal Legend, and is now launching its PvP multiplayer party game Kiln. In Kiln, players will compete to sculpt ceramic battle armor using a pottery wheel before delving into a battle that focuses on smashing these pottery creations for a satisfying yet humorous PvP experience.
The final day of April sees two significant Steam games launching: Invincible VS and Bandit Trap. Invincible VS is the highly anticipated 2D fighting game set in the universe of Invincible. Players will be able to play as their favorite Invincible characters, like Atom Eve, Omni-Man, Conquest, and more in 3v3 tag battles.
Also launching on April 30 is the asynchronous multiplayer comedy game Bandit Trap, a 3v1 game that features physics-based environment destruction and strategic gameplay. In Bandit Trap, one player acts as the Trapper, setting up strategic traps to try and prevent the other three Bandits from escaping the house with their loot. The game looks like the perfect addition to any party game night line-up, and is sure to please fans of wacky multiplayer games.
