Sometimes you look forward to finally getting some time for yourself. You turn on your favorite game and then… nothing? It’s always a bummer when you want to play a game and for some reason, it just doesn’t work. Everyone hates it when something like this happens. Well, Marvel Rivals devs issued a heartfelt apology to players for inadvertently affecting their day. They also gifted the players with 200 free Units.
Devs Issue an Apology for the Server Issue
On February 25, players were unable to find a match in Marvel Rivals for a while. However, soon after, the players were surprised by a message from the developers. In it, the devs explained that the issue was resolved.
They noted: “The server issue has been resolved. Dear Rivals, We want to inform you that due to some unexpected issues, the matchmaking system experienced a brief disruption, which may have affected some players’ ability to find matches. Our technical team promptly investigated the issue, and we are pleased to update us that the issue has been resolved, and the matchmaking system is now functioning normally”.
The devs added: “As a gesture of our appreciation for your patience, we will be granting all players 200 UNITS as compensation. Please make sure to log into the game and claim your compensation item from your in-game mail by 2025/3/12 00:00 UTC+0. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we thank you for your understanding and support of Marvel Rivals”.

Marvel Rivals Players Appreciate Everything the Devs Are Doing
Well, Marvel Rivals players truly appreciated the devs’ apology, especially the 200 Units that came along with it. In the eyes of the players, this is yet another proof that the devs truly care about the player base.
One player, Dr_ZuCCLicious, noted: “200 units are better than nothing and definitely a W on their end. Most gaming companies wouldn’t even give a s**t if servers were down for a while and give nothing in return for the inconvenience”.
Another player, Westagro, stated: “There was a problem. They fixed it. They apologized. And they gave us 200 Units. We forgave”. Peanutssz added: “This is what makes a good game and how you build trust with a community. Hats off to the dev team”.
We’d agree with the majority of the players. The devs resolved the problem as fast as they could, they issued an apology and rewarded the players for their patience. That isn’t something you see often in the gaming world. So, enjoy the game (no smurfing, please!), and see you out there.
