Great news for all maxed-out Helldivers! Some leaks have shown that new levels are coming to Helldivers 2! It’s been a while since the devs added levels (April 2024!), and more and more players are stuck on level 150. Well, it seems that the devs heard their pleas!
Leaks Claim New Levels Are Coming
If you’ve been playing this game for a while, you are probably aware that leveling up doesn’t necessarily mean a lot in-game, but it provides a sense of progress. So, the players who reached level 150 have been pitching ideas to devs on how to achieve that without adding new levels.
However, as it turns out, the devs have been hard at work, creating new levels, at least according to one of the most prolific Helldivers 2 leakers, IronS1ghts. This leaker noted: “(Leak) Levels in the API now go up to 200! Requiring 14658910 XP”.

Yes, you read that number correctly! To reach level 200, a Helldiver will need more than 14 million XP in total. For comparison, to reach level 150, one needs “measly” 1148400 XP. That’s quite a difference for just 50 levels.
Well, IronS1ghts also shared a list of XP requirements for all the upcoming levels (151-200), and it’s… quite something. According to IronS1ghts, to reach level 151, one would need 8,088,010 XP. That’s almost seven times the XP required for level 150. It’s quite possible that the devs will adjust these numbers before releasing new levels, so we won’t share the entire list, but feel free to check it out here.
Helldivers 2 Players Are Excited and Shocked by the Requirements for the New Levels
Obviously, the leaks of the requirements for the new levels made quite a splash in the Helldivers 2 community. While the majority of players were happy about the new levels, some were thoroughly confused by the XP requirements.
Heartian Dan noted: “You would have to play 8 hours a day for 227 days, getting at minimum 2200 XP per mission. They need to increase XP if anyone actually wants to achieve this”. We suppose that, if these requirements don’t change, the devs want to give players something that would take a while to achieve.
Still, not all players were looking forward to new levels. If nothing changes, then that’s just more grinding for nothing. Nick explained: “This is nice, I guess, but they really need to actually give players rewards for reaching high levels. That or give high-level players stuff to grind for. Once you hit lv 95-100, you have all stratagems and ship upgrades by then, and after that you unlock nothing but warbond items”.
For the time being, it’s impossible to say what the devs are planning for the future, we’ll all have to wait and see. Meanwhile, we can continue spreading Managed Democracy together and complete the Major Order. We’re diving on Alderidge Cove, meet us there. For Liberty and Super Earth.
