Finally! Valiant Helldivers completed the latest Major Order, and they even had some time to spare. The Meridian Singularity finally slowed down, all thanks to the amazing Helldivers 2 players. It took Angel’s Venture and Moradesh to convince the players how much of a threat the wormhole is, but they’re finally there.
The Major Order Success Allowed the Penrose Energy Siphon to Slow Down the Wormhole
The players finished the Major Order in the early morning hours of March 27. The High Command promptly issued a briefing, explaining how impactful this victory was. Helldivers finally made some palpable progress against the Illuminate.
According to the briefing, the Penrose Energy Siphon was launched the minute Helldivers acquired enough E-710. It was launched into the Ergosphere of the wormhole, and it managed to acquire some of the Singularity’s rotational energy, consequently slowing it down. The Siphon used the rest of the E-710 to exit the Singularity’s gravitational field and evacuate.

The briefing noted: “The excursion appears to have been successful; our scientists have reported a decrease in the Wormhole’s velocity, correlating to a reduction in Dark Energy accumulation”. This can also be seen on the Galactic map. The Dark Energy Accumulation meter is at the lowest we’ve seen in a while.

So, the citizens of Ivis are safe, for now. Don’t forget, the Helldivers 2 players didn’t manage to stop the Meridian Singularity, they just slowed it down a bit. Some players suggested that the future of Ivis and all the planets on the path of the Meridian Singularity is quite grim.
Helldivers Are Relieved That the Singularity Slowed Down
However, for the time being, Helldivers let out a sigh of relief. Fighting an invisible enemy isn’t easy, and Helldivers are trying their best to stop the Illuminate from reaching Super Earth. For the first time in a while, they’ve made some progress.
Tacothepilot noted: “Ngl, the Singularity has been the most stressful thing that has been added in this game, and after seeing two worlds, I was worried a third might go down right away too. But after the completion of the latest MO, I feel… a bit of peace. Yes, it’s still there. No, we can’t take things easy, but it feels like we’re beginning to turn the tide somewhat”.
So, let’s use this feeling of peace to spread some Managed Democracy. As you probably know, the first anniversary of Malevelon Creek liberation is fast approaching (April 3). It seems that the bots are trying to get to the Creek for this occasion. We’re currently fighting on Vandalon IV, the moment it’s defended, we’re headed to Mort. Will you join us? For Liberty and Super Earth.
