Helldivers had an opportunity to see leaked weapon skins recently. Although that was exciting on its own, it brought up another big topic. What about armor customization? Well, according to the most recent leaks, Helldivers 2 players should get matching armor skins, at some point.
Leaks Suggest Armor Skins Will Match Weapon Skins
One of the most prolific Helldivers 2 leakers, IronS1ghts, surprised their followers with some great news. This leaker previously suggested which weapon skins were in the works, and now, they shared their latest discovery – armor skins.
IronS1ghts noted: “(Leak) Armor Skins. Adaptive textures that can be applied to most armor. It works very similarly to the Weapon Skin system. Forest, Desert, Arctic, Venus”.
The leaker added: “This is currently limited to the B-01 Tactical Armor. Likely for testing purposes”. As always, the OP attached an image of their findings. It shows off the four variants of the aforementioned armor. Truth be told, we can’t wait to have this level of personalization in-game.
Helldivers 2 Players Look Forward to Customization
Obviously, the majority of Helldivers 2 players truly loved these leaks of armor skins. Although the leaked weapon skins looked a tad more polished, the armor skins show lots of potential. The consensus among the players was that they’d want to try these skins out as soon as possible.
One of the things the players loved the most was the simplicity of the design. One player, Wavi NK, noted: “I really like how they try to keep it simple and don’t make it too oversaturated with colors and other Bs that is unnecessary. Although, I would kinda like the idea of adding straps to the helmet with bullets or pictures like they did in WW2”.
Now, the devs are obviously working hard on giving the players what they are asking for. So, let’s give them some time to cook. In the meantime, the current Major Order isn’t going well.
